Shadows of Asia
Loose Alliances

Finally got a copy of 'Monstrous Compendium: Outer Planes Appendix', mostly just for the Baxa artwork.

Sadly I couldn't get my hands on SR4e.

An 'Art of RK Post' book.

A couple prints and some supremely awesome food at 'Hard Times Cafe', 'India Garden' and 'Mikado' rounded it all out.

Lots of good deals on "uninteresting-to-the-reader-of-this-post" stuff to fill gaps in my collection, but the standout items were...

Serenity

Mutants and Masterminds 2.0

A Game of Thrones OGL

1st I must say, what was with the super thin bags this year. Not too much free stuff in them as in past years.

That said, I brought home

-heroscape stuff (I bought everything but the terrains. Wotc said they'd have an equal number of everything each day of the convention and I stood in line saturday only to find the guy telling me they were sold out)
- Enroute 1-3,
- All of the riddle books from cloud kingdom
- Assylum of Horror
- Burn in Hell (play tested it last year and loved it)
- Gloom (a very fun and morbid game.
- Bootleggers (I don't like family business. I played it up there and really couldn't see hte fun people were talking about. This game captured the "mob 30s" for me.
- Runic Dice (The best treasure dicewise was sold by the usgamestation.net booth. They had these beautiful dice that looked better than anything in the 15 buck price range)
- Subscription to knights of the dinner table (and a bunch of swag from them)
- TAct Tiles
- A pack of these tiles that are made like the tiles from board games
- A set of maps
- Mutants and masterminds second edition
- Serinity signed by margeret weiss

- and my friend whom did the layout for northern crown gave me a copy of the are magica

I wanted to buy some stamps from green dragon but they were not here this year :(.

Hmm....what did I get...lessee...

Order of the Stick: Origins of the PCs (signed and doodle on by Rich Burlew, who also doodled on the paper I wrote about OotS for a lit class I took last semester)
Elan and Belkar buttons from GitP
A set of sythetic opal dice from Crystal Caste
A set of the 2005 GenCon collector's dice from Crystal Caste
Clear blue and swirly purple dice from Chessex
Arcana Evolved Battlebox from Fiery Dragon
Free dice from one of the vendors using a coupon from my swag bag
A free miniature from Magnificent Egos
Lots of Skeleton and Orc minis from Dwarven Forge and a set of dungeon dressing (during their "Don't want to take this stuff home sale" on Sunday
1 dark naga mini, 2 guenhyvar minis, 1 battle droid mini, and 1 infantryman mini from WotC
Akashic Nodes by Blue Devil Games
Letterflip from Out of the Box Games
2 faerie pictures from Ed Beard for my mother-in-law
A couple of faerie stickers for my mother-in-law
A Homer Simpson patch
A 2006 faerie calendar from Nene Thomas

I also traded some D&D minis I had laying around the house for a huge gold dragon, a mind flayer telepath, a hezrou, and a thri-kree barbarian.

There might be more, but I can't remember it.

I didn't get hardly any free stuff at all this year. About the only thing I got free that wasn't available to just anyone was the Akashic Nodes book. I found it in the Titan Games booth (he had two of them) and the guy insisted that he didn't sell those and wouldn't take my money for it, yet they laid around unclaimed on his $1/ea. table long enough that he just claimed them for himself and me.

If that last paragraph made no sense, it's cause I'm tired and I've been going for the last three week nearly cold turkey off of caffeine (I severly cut back and yes, made it through all of GenCon without much of it).

Now I'm just rambling.

They were there, they were at the Chessex booth nearest the Art Show. Right in the middle of the booth, they had about 2 feet of space and had a Chessex Battlemat all done up with stamps.

Not sure I remember it all but:
Mutants and Masterminds 2nd ed.
Swashbuckling Adventures
Deluxe Book of Templates
Nuisances
Transcendence
Picked up Dungeon 111 and decided to subscribe for a year as a test
Monster Island and it's sibling releases(don't remember their titles)
DND Midnight Syndicate CD (excellent btw)
Order of the Stick Origins book
a couple Knights of the Dinner Table Books

Also picked up a Tee and a new D20 (can't go without buying at least one die)

* Mage: The Awakening - Looks pretty cool so far, I like what they've done with it.
* The Way of Kohlinar - One of the few LUG Star Trek books I didn't have, a steal at $6.
* Realmspace - Got it for a few bucks, and peripherally Realms stuff, source material I didn't already have.
* Digital Burn - Got it for $5, looked like some interesting d20 Modern cyberpunk stuff.
* Cracken's Threat Dossier - A real find at the consignment sale, one of the d6 Star Wars books I didn't have, but really wanted.
* Star Wars Gamemaster's Handbook - Another consignment buy, another d6 Star Wars book I didn't have.
* (Star Wars) Classic Adventures Volume 5 - I bought it mainly for Strike Force Shantipole, a reprint of a classic Star Wars module. Definitely worth $5.
* GURPS Religion - Another $5 buy, I'd heard it was a pretty good sourcebook on religion in general, and it looks like I certainly got my money worth.
* GURPS Special Ops - Another case of interesting source material from GURPS, even though I don't care for the system, also got it for cheap.
* GURPS Conspiracy X - As a fan of the conspiracy genre, I couldn't say no at the price I found it for.
* GURPS WWII - See GURPS Special Ops :)
* GURPS Mage: The Ascention - Got it because I am a Mage fan, and it seemed like an interesting novelty.
* GURPS Werewolf: The Apocalypse - I already had the GURPS Vampire and Mage books, might as well complete the set.
* Trigun d20 - A sourcebook for a cool anime series with some RP info, also got it for cheap and think I got my money worth.
* Slayers d20 - Like Trigun d20, but it's a self-contained game instead of needing the BESM d20 Rules, might just raid this for some ideas for future games, and as a fan of the series I couldn't say no.
* 1st Edition Players Handbook - I started playing in the 2e era, so I never got the old 1e books, but I'm starting to collect them for historic/archival use.
* 1st Edition Dungeon Master's Guide - Same as the PHB.
* Some new dice from Crystal Caste - Translucent aqua-blue with gold lettering, matching the motif of Mage:tA.
* Whole load of Star Wars Miniatures - Mostly commons bought relatively cheap, traded for a Jabba the Hutt, bought only one actual box of the minis, got an AT-ST on the first shot.
* D&D Dark Naga mini - Swag, wish I'd had that when my D&D campaign was still going, as it would have defnitely been used.
* Hecatomb T-Shirt - Swag, but I like the slogan "Destined to be blamed for something".
* 1 Stick of Sealing Wax - I already have a seal and needed a new stick of wax anyway.
