Agreed. Lesser creatures exist with unlimited casting, so I don't see an issue here.
Indeed. I looked through some of the bigger epic creatures, and I think 101 HD will work for our purposes.
Definitely not a watered-down version! Just a small part of the beyond-approachable whole.
FWIW, here's Azathoth's 3e stats. That's about as close to a draeden's contemporary as I could find.
Azathoth
I prefer doing an entire creature rather than an appendage.
If you feel an entire Draeden is "beyond approachable", how about adding some flavour text that the stats are actually an astral projection, a mental shadow of the true cosmic might of a being that exist in a vacuum of a far-off Astral Plane?
I'd rather not. My main problem is with the size. It's like attempting to fight a planet. It's just not feasible.
Well if it's an astral progjection it could be any size the Draeden imagines, including small enough to interact meaningfully with the microbes known as humanity...![]()
That sounds like a fantastic Cleon Special (TM).![]()
That sounds pretty cool but also pretty far from the original monster.Well if it's an astral progjection it could be any size the Draeden imagines, including small enough to interact meaningfully with the microbes known as humanity...![]()

So do we now have a general consensus to do a single 101HD tube-tentacle with unlimited type casting?
