Agreed. Lesser creatures exist with unlimited casting, so I don't see an issue here.

I'd prefer it to be resource-dependent, but if you're both set on unlimited at-will manifestation I could go for it.

How about adding a "Psionic Draeden" subentry?

Indeed. I looked through some of the bigger epic creatures, and I think 101 HD will work for our purposes.

Yes, I think it's enough to begin with.

Definitely not a watered-down version! Just a small part of the beyond-approachable whole.

I prefer doing an entire creature rather than an appendage.

If you feel an entire Draeden is "beyond approachable", how about adding some flavour text that the stats are actually an astral projection, a mental shadow of the true cosmic might of a being that exist in a vacuum of a far-off Astral Plane?

Azathoth

Yes, start off with Azathoth and make it tougher. That might be adequate. :p

I'd rather not. My main problem is with the size. It's like attempting to fight a planet. It's just not feasible.

Well if it's an astral progjection it could be any size the Draeden imagines, including small enough to interact meaningfully with the microbes known as humanity...:)

That sounds pretty cool but also pretty far from the original monster. ;)

So do we now have a general consensus to do a single 101HD tube-tentacle with unlimited type casting?

Well so does the "Jormundgandr Conversion Approach" of a really long tube-tentacle.

I'd probably use something based on the Vaults of Pandius version if I were ever actually to need to run one.

Or just say "the Draeden eats Ulric. Your character is dead." :p

Still, I can go along with a single tube-tentacle approach. We can always list a cluster of 2-40 of them in the Organization to represent more of the whole monster.

Hmm, then each tube-tentacle would have separate actions (including spells!). That's even nastier than a single monster...
