World's saddest nachos. Camping options were limited.

Don't come to NZ under any circumstances. Erm the spiders will eat you. Honest. And feral Hobbits.

Neither.

But AFAIK, a butter burger is simply a simple, traditional burger served on a bun that’s been butter toasted/grilled.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear of someone using butter on top of a burger--this is a thing I have a vague sense I've heard of--and especially compound butter seems as though it'd be nice.

We watch this guy's videos on NYC but like his food ones the most.

This guy is pure food vs NYC in general

Since we can't get a few thing's here I try stuff at home or get inspired by at least.

NYC pastrami sandwich doesn't look particularly appetizing tbh but Philly cheese steak does.

Had an American family move into the neighborhood and communicating via social media they tried a local cafe here we patronize and loved it.

They do these tacos. Wife loved them as well. Not remotely authentic tex Mexican or Mexican buy some of the better ones we have found.

Once again want to try something similar at home/inspired by. Local cafe told us what brand of balsamic vinegar glazing they use and we found sonething similar at supermarket.

I’ve seen that, too, as well as placing multiple pats on the meat patty as they’re assembling the burger on the plate. But the butter-toasted bun is the most common method, probably because it’s the easiest & neatest to do properly.

Might try both. Bought some mince for patties.

Went to bakery for research purposes of course. New pies here are fluffy pastry. These ones are more tradional 1980s style.

These are steak and onion. Virtually extinct pie type now but used to be everywhere. Old school filling as well.

Not as good as the camp pies but nostalgia. Still enjoyed it and it's the last place I know of doing them nearby.

We canapé our own but once you buy all the ingredients it's not that much cheaper and a PITA to do. Wife does chicken hot pot type ones with bacon and various fillings.
