The grappling mechanics are not bad IMHO.

And your opionion sucks ; )

Almost every one of the choices now we have ether modified or just don’t use in my group so getting darn hard. The last one left that we don’t mess with in some manor is Turn Undead… so that is what I picked. TU works to well at low level and to poorly at high level so it is far from perfect.

Anyone actually ever use the counter spell mechanic? I have never ever had a player try and use it…

The Spiked Chain -mechanics- aren't bad at all. And the flavor isn't bad either, if you consider the genre... I mean, think of Soul Calibur! I find it interesting enough. Giving it a pity vote, since it seems to be behind at the moment, behind other mechanics I hate much more.

If current trends continue, we'll be able to eliminate four choices this round, which will only leave 5 -- in which cast, next round will be the last, and we'll switch to direct voting (vote for the one you hate most rather than the one to be eliminated).

Cheers, -- N

<sigh>

Favored classes and the excecrable XP penalty is gone, so I have nowhere left to vent my hate. :(

Edit: Oh, wait...we're venting love. Game on! :p

Well I hope that tripping gets voted off before grappling, because if people like the grapple rules more than the tripping rules something horribly wrong is going on here
