Craft Calculator for PalmOS coming soon!

Astral Admin - Mwahahaha!
I've nearly finished writing a basic "Craft Calculator" utility for PalmOS PDAs - the basic version allows you to set the cost (in sp), the DC and the skill bonus, and press either the "take ten" button, or the "Use skill rolls" button.

It will then display how long the work takes to complete in weeks and days, and the final cost (including the "spoiled materials" extra cost if a check is failed by 5 or more).

For additional interest a small list box displays the skill check and progress made each week during the crafting process.

Before I upload a copy here and submit it to Morrus "electronics" page, I thought I'd ask if anyone would want something extra from a crafting calculator?

Disclaimer: I've kept it simple to keep it fast and small at present - so I decided not to try to include a "big database of all the things you might want to craft", and Masterwork items will have to have their masterwork quality calculated separately. So it doesn't do everything possible... but it does speed up the basics.

(incidentally, I'd never realised how much the cost was likely to balloon if you have a low craft skill. Don't try to make full plate if you only have armoursmith 5 !!)

Cheers

Here it is - I'd welcome any feedback on it.

It isn't brilliant slick, but it should do the job.

It take a long time to calculate very big craft jobs (e.g. craft skill 5 attempting to make plate armour), but this is because it is continually redrawing the list box that displays the total progress - something that I originally introduced for debugging, but subsequently left in so I explain to the PC's why the cost has zoomed up so much!

Just unzip and install normally.

Cheers
