Cure Minor Wounds 1/Minute

I think it might be a good idea to find out exactly what they want to accomplish with it. If they're looking for overnight healing, you could modify a stone of alarm to cast mass cure light wounds on anyone who sleeps in its effect.

If they're looking for healing between fights, a wand of CLW is a fairly inexpensive piece of equipment. If they have something else in mind, find out what they want to accomplish.

Truly, I am amused by the levels of fear and revulsion generated by this item.

Ring of Rapid Healing: This ring grants a living wearer fast healing 3. It must be worn for 24 hours before its powers activate, and if removed it will not function again until it has been worn for 24 hours by the same individual.
Caster Level: 20th; Prerequisites: Forge Ring, Forge Epic Ring, regenerate; Market Price: 300,000 gp.
A magic item that works 30 times as fast costs only 300,000 gp. Give a discount according to your favored game style. If you generally allow your PCs ample opportunities to retreat and rest, it isn't really all that useful and should cost 10,000 gp or less.

It's not at the item itself, per se. It's at players who see that magic item pricing guide, ignore the text around it, and try to make broken magic items of any type.

I think its silly to base the price of anything off the ring of regeneration. It is a terrible magic item; one of the worst in the game. I know that, as a player, I would much rather have a ring of protection +1, a ring of featherfalling or a ring of force shield, all items much cheaper than the ring of regeneration. Discussion with the other players in my group reveal that they feel the same way.

I'd probably charge about 1,000 gp for an item that casts cure minor wounds 1/hour.

Hmm?

You seem to have a break from the OP's question in your post. Are you saying you'd then price an item that healed 1/minute at 60x more, or 60,000g? (Well on our way back to Ring of Regen prices)... Or was that a typo and you mean to say 1,000g for 1/minute, not 1/hour?

It refers to the ring of regeneration. ;)

Ahhh, so the point there is that the Ring of Regeneration just isn't 90,000g worth of goodness. Some days it's a wonder I can function at all

Honestly, I'd just let them buy a wand of lesser vigor. One of the most cost-effective magic items for healing. 50 charge item for 750 gp. Each spell restores 1 hp/round for 11 rounds. Only 1.636 gp per hp healed.

Looks like the board ate my post :(

If you look at a pearl of power 1 and compare it with the time frame I think that they are a bit comparable. The pearl of power could bring back a lesser vigor or a cure light wounds, both of which provide hp at a much faster rate, while still having the option for other spells as needed.

I would say that for an unslotted item giving 1hp every minute 1kgp is not out of line. It is useless in combat and if you wait for it to heal you for any reasonable amount of damage short and mid range duration buffs will be gone.

If you also add in a wait period of 24 hours then that would reduce the cost by a large amount since it could not even be used to heal the party over the course of a day. It only might help save on healing for one person.
