Curse of House Thimbrall (orsal judging)

"Hold on just a moment," says Jann softly. "If we're to share our reward from this with you, we should first be allowed to satisfy ourselves that this amulet is what we seek, instead of the one which you wear at your neck, or perhaps the item you have in your pocket. After all, who's to say how many trinkets may have been left when the Thrimballs abandoned this house? It could be any one of them, though I do indeed think it likely that it's the one you handed Boog. We just need to look at the others."

[sblock=ooc: ]Jann continues to concentrate on Gerald, alert for any change in his aura.[/sblock]

Ridik looks at Jann surprise. "Another amulet, and magical... how are we suppose to know which one we haev to bring him back?"

ao'Thuir hefts his greatsword and steps out into the hallway inviting the zombies to come closer. He stands ready to hack apart the first one that steps in range. "I got this." he says over his shoulder.

Confused by all the amulets and the entire situation, Kamdar tries to get a grip. "... ao'Thuir, you've got what?"

Anyone who, following ao'Thuir's mysterious comment, looks back at the door behind him, will see that the three turned-but-not-killed zombies are turned no more.

Surprise Round:

Ao'Thuir moves back into the foyer, drawing his sword. The zombies close in. Z2 (the heavily wounded one) moves to the space right in front of the wood elf, and Z4 reaches the square next to it on ao'Thuir's right. Z3, coming from the other direction, is 15' away on ao'Thuir's left.

Boog 13
Kamdar 13

Z2 3

Gerald is taken aback. "Zombies? I thought you had killed or dispelled them all." You're all between Gerald and the door, so he'd have the hardest time of anyone joining the combat. He doesn't draw a weapon.

Ao'Thuir is next

"Relax, we'll make short work of this lot", replied Boog as he made his way to the door and
fired his crossbow through the door. The bolt embedded itself deeply at the end of its flight.

OOC:[sblock]Boog will stay just inside the bedroom, firing through the door at Z4, and trying to not block the doorway for others. I don't know if a 13 hits, but if it does, that might even punch through a zombie's DR.[/sblock]

ao'Thuir smashes his sword into the zombie hacking massive chunks from it.

[sblock]Rolls:[atk13, dmg14] at least I hope that hits. Does he get to use his held action as the zombie approaches? It was my intention with his last post not to bother taking advantage of the possible ranged attack, but wait with a held action.[/sblock]

I'm assuming "the zombie" is Z2, the one closest to you. If you delay until Z2 is next to you, you go at the end of Round 1; if you just wait for the next round, you go at the beginning of Round 2. It doesn't make a difference, really.

After ao'Thuir's slash, the zombie in front of him (Z2) is seriously hacked up and on the verge of collapsing. Boog does 5 points of damage to Z4.

Kamdar is next.

Ridik takes his mace "Dispel. Maybe one day Russna will allow me to do it, but I generally just scared them. But we'll finish them." He moves up to the nearest zombie and attack it (if there is a wounded one in reach, I'll attack that one). Hasting his attack, it falls short. (Att:5, Dmg:5)
