In other news, the shadow progression is done and attached.
Thanks for that. I've updated my character sheet in accordance with your changes. I'm wondering about the mention that Shadows cannot speak intelligibly though; I'd figured that that limitation was dropped from Savage Species for the sake of PC shadows with higher than average intelligence. I'm wondering what kind of communication you believe shadows are capable of. Am I going to be limited to shadow-puppet-charades or a one-moan-for-yes-two-moans-for-no arrangement? Would it help if I traded my high-intelligence bonus language to learn to speak intelligibly?
Do you have any suggestions for my character's background?

Background This tragic character didn't survive the hardships of prison long enough to meet his fate upon the gallows. Whether he was initially guilty or not doesn't much matter any more. Having been badly beaten by a guard following a failed escape attempt, this inmate's body eventually succumbed to its brutal injuries. Left to rot in a lightless oubliette, the man died alone in the dark. Now darkness, a fleeting memory of a life lost and a dream of escape is all that remains.[/sblock]
