Okay, as soon as I get more time and Internet I'll introduce Arshen. I'd have done it in the last IC post but I just don't have time.

Yay, I'm psyched!

For the record, in case anybody didn't see my earlier post in the recruitment thread - I'm not crazy, and I don't have all my characters talk like that, but Cuthbertites are apparently quite into their archaicisms, so I thought it would be fun to run with it. :D

I like it!

Holyman, if you're reading this please post Shaylir in the Rogues Gallery thread. I link it in my sig. I assumed Shaylir followed the dream premonition at least enough to go see if the party way there (they were). As far as living in the Fire Forest, it's doable but very challenging. In particular, you need to find food to eat. All the plants and animals in the Fire Forest are on fire (duh), are harder to kill in that they're just tougher than you'd expect, and then once you kill them they often just crumble to ash. At that being said, it's certainly possible that Shaylir hangs out in the northern parts of the forest (where the party is going to enter it), leaving as necessary to stay alive. Also, she'll need to have Stand the Heat up to get around in it. Even then, if she wanders around off the trails she'll need to cast Resist Energy to not take fire damage.

Even though only Shaylir had Shaylir's dream (duh again), I posted it in the IC thread because I'd rather everyone know it OOC.

Once you cross the bridge you're in the second adventure in the path, the Indomitable Fire Forest of Innenotdar. I'm planning on changing the thread title but otherwise keeping moving in the same thread. I'm open to change if people don't like that.

Will have her posted tonight I am off to work :erm:

I did not realize the Fire Forest was constantly burning I thought it caught on fire alot. :)

I was thinking on hanging back and watching the group kind of like a curious animal would. Is that alright??

I already had Shaylir show up in my last IC post. I think a pbp format is really hard to do a ret-con in. For now let's go with Shaylir having crossed the bridge out of the fire forest for whatever reason - following the dream, not wanting to be on fire, fire protect spell running out, bored, whatever. If Shaylir wants to avoid the party initially and try to hang back from them, you're welcome to give it a shot. I'm not sure how well Liiros and Arshen will take to her following the party around, but don't let that stop you. If the party never did anything that pissed off Liiros you'd all still be indoors huddled around a fire.

As for how often the fire forest is on fire, it's been burning for the past 40 years or so, which is likely about a long as Shaylir has been alive. Any efforts for her to figure out why it's been on fire for so long by direct investigation would have been thwarted by how dangerous the forest and the on-fire creatures in it are.

Finally, I think we're waiting for Shaylir to act at this point.

Acted!! :D

I was originally going to play Shaylir as a quiet, shy, creature of the forest. Due to not knowing alot about the world in general or having someone to look out for her.

But with your intro of The Green Man I believe she wouldn't feel that way and would do her best to make him proud. So now she is two and a half feet of pure spitfire ready to take on anything, knowing The Green Man has her back.
