[D&D 3.5] War of the Burning Sky [OOC] [Closed]

I bet they wanted the group to only free the stag and not the sword. As you need it to save the sella but you don't have to beat up the stag to save them.

So if you don't free the sword you by default have to fight the stag. Something evil DMs do.

The stag should go away right? He asked us to free him and we did.

I think he is the whole forest fire but mostly trapped in the form of a stag by that Song of Forms. They---- whoa wait a sec...

The sella sing the song and keep him trapped in the form so he would stay pinned to the bottom of the lake. If they didn't keep singing what would happen?

There would be no more stag and he would be more powerful or less? I have the download but have only read to the fire wall and tower. He said he wanted us to save him from the "prison of this enforced flesh" he didn't want us to unpin him he wanted to be free of his form.

Umm... Opps.

Maybe the Fire Stag will attack the Seela? To be honest, by this point, Hollister just wants to get the hell out of the forest. LOL. And he loves fire! :D

Was just thinking that and was trying to write out what could happen.

But I don't see why we don't tell the sella to stop singing they won't die now as long as someone is bound to the sword. The fire stag goes away and the sella are safe, win win.

everyone levels

That's basically the end of The Indomitable Fire Forest of Innenotdar. I'll try to make a post in a day or two about saying goodbye to the seela and getting on the road, but that's all that's left. Arkhandus, I agree that the ending was a little anti-climactic. Had you fought Indomitability it would have been harder, but instead the party is so non-violent I almost don't know what to do with you sometimes. I was actually a little relieved when you jumped the devil instead of talking to him.

Everyone is now fifth level. Rhun, Hollister should probably pick a 3rd level feat. I guess he doesn't need to, but if he doesn't do it now he has to wait for a rest (i.e. rememorizing spells) to get it.

HolyMan, I know you were really into the wooden sword, but as-written the sword bonds with whoever draws it out of Indomitability. It's also a good fit for Liiros. Don't worry, I have a couple of ideas for something cool for you. I'm trying to get everyone a character-defining item eventually. So eventually Lytha will get something, too, Thanee. I just need to think of something, and there's a limited amount of psionic inspiration material.

EDIT: Oh, right. I do plan on adding another player, since we seem to be down to four. I'm asking a couple of folks directly first. If they aren't interested I'll solicit public submissions.

No problem I just hope the sella or the dryad or whomever has some "gits" to bestow or we will be greatly behind in the wealth by lvl department. I still only have third lvl gear.

But we will get through that first trip to town.

And we are a non-aggressive group but that is the way it should be. Conflict leads to possible crits that could end a characters life  better to sneak past or talk your way out of a fight.

Will LvL up tomorrow I get to read the rest of my fire forest module - HUZZAH! (haven't even downloaded #3 yet)

In all fairness (and perhaps a bit selfishly), Hollister was non-violent because the "special" qualification for taking Elemental Savant prestige class is that he must have made peaceful contact with an elemental or outsider of the appropriate subtype. I'm assuming his interaction with Indomitability fits the bill for this.

It is already chosen, I just haven't posted it. Energy Substitution. It is also a requirement of Elemental Savant, which Hollister should be able to enter when he takes his 6th level.

Liiros still has only his original, 2nd-level gear, aside from the wooden sword, greatsword, and short sword retrieved over the first two adventures.....so don't feel bad. :) I'm pretty sure Hollister and Lytha are just as poor, aside from the wooden sword. Once Liiros can sell the greatsword and his old longsword, he might just be at 3rd or 4th-level wealth, depending on what properties the wooden sword has. And I still don't know if the silvered short sword I retrieved from one of our first few enemies is masterwork, magical, or average. We really need to get Hollister to scan our loot for magic at some point.

Though do I still have that mythical-scene-covered shroud on my sheet just to keep track of it, while Torrent is the one actually carrying it. We already know what it does, basically, and Liiros considered asking Torrent to try using it on his sword to better fight the fiend........until the others zapped and punched the fiend into submission in a few seconds. :)

I'll update Liiros in the Rogues' Gallery soon for 5th-level.
