A couple of items. First, I hope things aren't too confusing without a map. If you're ever having trouble following the action and think a map would help, speak up and I'll put one together.

Second, I just realized I'm playing pretty fast-and-loose with the rules. People haven't really made many swim checks, the ogres are making sort-of unarmed attacks, etc. If this bothers anyone let me know.

I have np with the way things are running sometimes the rules get in the way of a good story/adventure.

I just ran my group through the Gauntlet in the first module and had only the first round (after the thunderstones) where they made ride checks. Since I found they are all not very good riders I let it slide after that. Oh did I show you my Fire Forest pic???

Hold a sec... It's in this post

Well, if Liiros finishes off his ogre soon enough, he'll swim down to help with trying to pull out the wooden sword....... Assuming he doesn't drown first. :P

And yeah, I've been forgetting to roll Swim checks during the fight, since Liiros shouldn't normally be able to take 10 while so distracted/harried, unlike the peaceful swim out from shore at first...... I don't mind some handwaving here and there. :) Liiros probably needs to surface for air soon anyway, just to avoid potentially drowning when he dives deeper to help with the wooden sword and fire-stag.

Oh, man, thank goodness you pulled that sword completely out. It was DC 26 to get it out of the ground and the stag. If you only beat a DC21 the stag gets free but the sword is still in it, so you need to chase it around and try to pull it out. Which would have been a tremendous pain to run online.

Awesome!! We have the sword!!

but in the IC you said if Liiros didn't want it it would change into a medium longsword.

- would it still be made of wood?
- can it shrink further?
- Does the person who pulls it need to be the one to bond to it? That's what we need to do right? One of us bonds to it and the sella live the stag can go away because it's free.

I am really interested in a wooden sword for Shaylir so I hope it stays wooden and can shrink.

DC26? That is a helluva STR check to hit, especially at low levels.
