Very nice to meet you lady Elf and Blademaster Sahyr but its past my bedtime. Vatan, your the shipmaster. Can you see whos about going upstream tomorrow and well take the next departing convoy. Do you think they will pay for goblin protection ? Cos y'know, I don't recall that we fixed any fee for this emissary thing. Tell ya the truth this kinda work was what I was expectin' so its fine by me - not having a forge, an' a set o' hammers of my own down here.

I shall tell the bar maid that were together then the rooms are on the house - on the city to be precise. Actually, maybe we should wait right till the end of the evening. The story I hear is that this particular bar maid clubs the late leavers with notorious precision...

"Well, then," Pier replies. "I shall meet you here at first light." Pier gathers his stick, with Kail's arrow still tied to it, and makes his way back home, where he sets out what supplies he will need before going to sleep.

In the morning, assuming nothing happens during the night, he returns to the inn, pack on his back and his staff in hand.

Vatan will laugh when called a "shipmaster".

"Friend Dwarf, far be I from bein' a Ship's Master, but 'tis a good idea to be checkin' for ships that be headin' inland. Me thinks not a few cap'n would breath easier ta be knowin' that he has a crew like us to be fightin' any boarders. The last ship from upstream might have shook a few hearts at the thought o' goin' without such as us."

After digging in for more grub, he will continue with a chuckle. "After we be finished with this board, I think I will indeed take a trip to the port. If you could be watching me kit, I shouldn't be too long about seeing for a berth inland. 'Tis a bit o'trouble to be luggin' it about."

When Vatan is finished his plate, and washed it down with another mug, he will make his way down to to port. The first place that he willl go to would be the sailors hostel to see if there are any ships looking for crew to head inland. If there are he will take note of the name and their captains. If not he will ask the sailor rep or any sailors about for this info. If perchance no one know here he will head over to the Captain's House to sak the same thing. The last stop would be the docks themselves. If he hasn't found a ship before that he will be looking for a ship that might be loading up, and ask if they were heading inland.

Once he finds a ship heading in the right direction, he will try to approach the XO or first mate if he can find him. Having located said worthy, he will "inquire on the possibilities of hire for a crew of 5 or 6 marines for the voyage inland" (definately not his words but I can't figure out how he would actually say it atm). If he can come to what he would concider reasonable terms he will get whatever departure info might be required, and head back to the Nest, looking for his companions and having a few rounds...before bed.

"Aye," says a ship's captain. "I can be usin' yer swords and magicks in exchange fer passage to Hannia, no doubt. I'll be offerin' no coin though; service for service. With any luck, you'll be comin' out on the sweeter end o' that deal!

"We leave at first light, and we won't be waitin' fer ya!"

[sblock]Limited access here in Louisiana but I should be able to keep up at a slow pace for the week. I won't be able to do anything requiring a map though, so don't be expecting any combat until I'm back at home.[/sblock]

"'Tis fair enough, Cap'n. At first light me 'n me crew will be here."

Assuming he has the name of the ship and its berth, Vatan will return to the Nest. Looking around for the others he will join them if they are downstairs. If they are not visible, he will have a few beers while waiting for them to show up before asking about the room.

Sahyr would drink heartily if there were drinks to be shared, only ordering a few himself if none were offered. He grinned at the prospect of battle, the altar and offering to the Brawler himself. Not that many would understand, being that Sahyr was one of the few who worshipped his god. He remained with the others until they would leave, following their directions to a room for the night, where he would sleep, and dream of thrilling battles where he could achieve great Glory from Kord.

(OOC - I'm a little confused. Who's still in the tavern and who's not? Have we pretty much split up IC, with the intent of getting back together on the morn?)

OOC: Sahyr is staying with the others and enjoying food and drink until the others retire, then going to retire himself, heading down into the bar area after he wakes in the morning to meet up with the others.
