[D&D 4e] IG's "The Witchlight Strand"

The explosion of doors was exactly what Druthruss was expecting and the moment the situation turned orc ugly then he looses his bolt (into O3).

The bolts aim is true for once and the orc not being fully aware of the situation gets it in the neck.

Shoots O3 with HXB: 1d20+6=23, 1d6+2=6 + First Strike combat advantage so sneak damage 2d6=7

"Hide lass," O'Beth says over his shoulder to the widow. He glances quickly and sees her duck into the building and then turns back to the orcs. Drawing his large handled hammer he steps to the closest adversary and lashes out with only the power of his voice.

"Ye be dark denziens frum the hellish bounds o' the earth. But ye have given us what we here crave, ye have given us our Moment of Glory!"

Divine magic cascades forth engulfing the group as O'Beth speaks.

[sblock=actions]
Shift to E7
Standard: Moment of Glory = WIS vs Will (Blast from F5-F9 across, and F5-J5 down think it should catch everyone) 1d20+2 = 20 [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
Moment of Glory requires a seperate attack roll against each foe. It makes a difference if they're hit as it's a push (up to) 3 squares and knocked prone. Jude will likely go after a prone enemy [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]With O3 down after Druthruss's attack, there are no enemies in the blast area anyway.

Also waiting to see if Shayuri's going to post something before we move on.[/sblock]

(OOC - Fraggle! Sorry, I lost track of which games I'd posted to!)

The wolf that had padded up beside O'beth and his charge rippled like water on a windy day, and was abruptly an elf clad in leather armor and wearing a fierce expression. She called an invocation in a strange language, and a seething glowing spray of dust spewed from her outstretched hand. Almost as an afterthought she glanced at the other orcs, and roots erupted from the ground around them, coiling around limbs and constricting, and making the way difficult to move through.

(Twisting Vines centered on Square G2 to get those 4 guys, and then an AP for Faerie Fire, centered on Orc G1. Rolls follow:)

Twisting Vines:
Wis vs Reflex
To hit: 14, 10, 9, 23
Dmg: 7, and all squares adjacent to hit targets become difficult terrain until the end of my next turn.
Roll Lookup

Faerie Fire:
Wis vs Will
To hit: 13, 19, 24 (crit!)
Effect: Targets hit are Slowed and grant Combat Advantage until they make a save. Upon successfully saving they take the following Damage. A missed target takes 1d6+4 radiant damage and grants Combat Advantage until the end of my next turn.
Dmg: 21 (22 for the crit) radiant
Roll Lookup

The woman screams as the wolf next to her begins to change shape and rain devastation upon the orc raiders.

Twisting, writhing vines erupt from the ground between a cluster of the orcs, instantly snuffing the life out of two of them. One manages to escape, but the other suffers some deep cuts and abrasions as the vines try to wrap themselves around him.

The druid then turns her attention to another cluster, and they are quickly enveloped in a burst of colorful light.

Andri Ziuul nearly faints before O'Beth urges her back into the building. He then shifts forward and produces a blast of divine energy that knocks an orc off its feet, an act that seems to invigorate the rest of the group.

The downed orc lands directly at Druthruss's feet, and the dwarf wastes no time planting a crossbow bolt between its eyes before moving around the corner.

"Argh," O'Beth grimaces as an orc takes a lucky swipe at the warrior priest. "Ye blundering pig faced scow!" he swears at the orc.

[sblock=OOC] Heads up IG I do plan to use minor actions the rest of combat to keep the Moment of Glory going. [/sblock]

"Hah!! We be havin' ye now, ya cowardly scum!!" Vatan will bellow
as he slides past N1, slicing downwards through N1 and into the prone G1 (Passing Strike). He then reverses the strike, this time against O1 and again against G1 (AP, Cleave)

Movement = G5 to F5 and slide to E6 on Passing Strike. If missing the first attack prevents the slide, will move to E6 with AP
