D&D Board Game

Looks good to me. I enjoyed Heroquest (all 3 copies my little brothers destroyed between my 5th birthday and Christmas before my 12th), and Dragonstrike.

I'll buy it, I'm pretty sure. Might not play it as much now that I have adapted to playing with many-sided dice and books all over the table, but I'll buy it none-the-less.

...any one else care to share their favorite scene?

Lol the owlbear! It had a pet owl and was talking constantly in this sort of "construction worker" accent. Hillarious :) And it had a pyramid-shaped head. The king was pretty funny too. Beyond that all I can remember is the terrible acting and weird special effects. I also remember being rather disappointed, as the ads for the game said the video was interactive. Yeah, that thing was really interactive. :p

BTW, I really enjoyed the Dragon Quest game. That one was cool.

Quick question: Many of you have mentioned playing Hero Quest but have any of you played Warhammer Quest? I've played both and I have to say WQ was a little better. I wish GW was still supporting it...

I would love it if the D&D game was like those games. One of the problems with them was that you could only advance your character so far before the rules started to eat you alive. It would be cool to have a game where we could just have some combat and be able to advance. Kinda like powergaming without all the fuss. :)

I think WQ is what Hero Quest turned into. I seem to recall GW bought the rights to the game or something. And there were two versions of one of them, not sure which.

Of course she's not quite 2 yet, so it'll still be a while. In the mean time, I'm developing Little Bunny Foo Foo: The Roleplaying Game. My wife seems a bit resistant to the concept.

Hook 'em while they're young. Cute name for the game too...what the heck is it? As for your wife's resistant to the idea, explain to her that you are a gamer and she married you. Saying that her daughter can't have the same good qualities that convicer her to marry you is like a slap in the face. but then again I don't know you or your wife, so I can't really comment.:)

DUNGEON!!!

Awww! Drawmack! You brought me back to fond memories of Dungeon. I remember our family playing that back when everyone still thought D&D was satanic. But, since it was only Dungeons without the Dragons, it couldn't be all that bad. Dang, I wish I still had that paladin miniature. It was pretty cool.
