D&D Gamecasters

Today was a totally up in the air game. I had no idea what the players were going to oo, and therefore had little prepared. This gave me a few points where I had to pause and think to come up with something. My players started pretending to be sportscasters.

"He's thinking, he's thinking, he's going for the page flip maneuver...it looks like a Dungeon Masters Guide."
"I don't know Bill, this could either be really good for the party, or really bad."
"I have not seen anything like this since fourth level."

Mind you, I wasn't going so slow they were getting bored. I just have really sarcasting players...

You've gotta admit, that's pretty hilarious.

Isn't there some hokey (IMHO IMHO IMHO!11) game called XCrawl that's like an XXXTREME DUNGEON CRAWLING LEAGUE?

That'd be great:

"Oh, folks, it looks like Lidda's got something up her sleeve. What could it be?"
"That'd be a Slayco(TM) Punch Dagger, Billy! Available at all finer armories!"
