According to the OED's site, both "Dungeons and Dragons" (sic) and "D and D" (sic) have been added to the latest edition. The additions were officially made on 13 March 2003.

I would have preferred if they had used an ampersand, but still.

I wonder if they'll mention Dave Arneson and Col P by name and if they'll have a separate entry for "role-playing game".

Hmm strange coincidence that they are adding "transgender" at the same time, they must know about this boards roleplaying habits.

Did I mention that the OED and I best friends? :)

Lexicographers sometimes go to authorities for help. I wonder who they went to. Probably someone at WotC.
