first of all : good luck on your work project. second of all, 1000 years ... that would be3 250 tournaments later. i am curious to know how they have evolved after 1000 years. I am just going to have a gander is all. too many games to be in as it is. not only that, i have no desires to buy any more books. ( I am just too cheap!)

Take a gander at the 4th edition section of the Campaign Setting for what things are like in 1,000 years. Warning: There is some spoilers there for where this campaign is eventually headed.

Long story short, the tournaments are a thing of the past.

The Campaign Setting has been updated with information on the Blackguard prestige class. There's also some updates to the 4E era of the setting for those interested.

Edit: There's also a new entry for the Timeline, finally detailing events from the Second Fall of the Gith to the Thay/Emiran War.

your'e not planning on converting this game to 4th ed are you?

No.

The setting converts to 4E sometime in the next 1,000 years, but that's well beyond the lifetime of this campaign and these characters.

Unless one of them achieves godhood...

Monkey family is finally breaking down and buying a console as a family gift. PS2, specifically. Yeah, its older, but that also means its cheaper and has a good selection of games already out.
