Well, it sure is a cool movie, but where do they screen it in Greyhawk? All the manuals I consulted had no mention of any cinema theaters.

Dagon is listed among the demon princes in the first edition Monster Manual II's infamous page 35. Thus, into Dungeon he went.

I placed Dagon in my undersea campaign, back when BPAA used the 1e AD&D rule set. As there was no description of him, I did as I wished.

I think they probably stole him from the Sumerians like everybody else.

Yeah, Dagon is probably the most juggled Mesopotamian god ever. Lord of the Deep Ones, Demon Prince, minor GreyHawk deity, and even that whole "Sirius Mystery" thing.
