When the original Dark*Matter game came out and WotC first put up hoffmanN.org, the hoffmaN.org site above eventually had to post a disclaimer that they weren't associated with the roleplaying game because they were getting so many hits and requests looking for D*M.

And if you dig up some older pre-publication D*M publicity materials and articles, it looked like initially they were spelling it with only one N....

Well, so far it's workable, but FAR from elegant or full-featured. The skill prereqs don't work (so you have to make sure you have the right feats yourself) and some of the skills are showing up as exclusive (so not even the Psychic can select them). You can work around this in PCGen by making the Exclusive skill cost 1....

Anyway, it's working well enough for my wife to make her 10th level Smart Hero/Psychic! (Hacker / Electrokinesis)

Okay, okay, okay. I finally purchased the Psychic's Handbook and despite that it needs some errata corrections, I confessed I like the Modern Psychic AdC and the Skill-n-Feat Psychic System. For PC class option, I'd probably use this instead of the Telepath and Battlemind (but I might utilize them as aberrant/anomalous NPC villains ... in a conspiracy thriller campaign, always leave them guessing).

Most of the Xenoforms in D*M were covered in that D20Modern Threat supplement -- aw heck, I can;t remember is it Menace Manual? Anyway, almost all are in there.

I just got an email from SVGames, and the Dark*Matter campaign setting is half off. You can also download it along with other alternity lines if anyone doesn't already have them. I spent about $8 on the ESD for D*M and an FX handbook from Alternity. They have about 85 WOTC games for 1/2 price.
