OOC: Atroclos and Chick, then, will move a set of crates, and then...

"Chick, go help the others dig. I will move the crates. Tell them to try and use the crates to support the walls of our hiding place."

Desert
Evening

As the wind and sand picked up, Kimet retrieved a sand suit from the supplies and wrapped up in it, though she made sure her weapons were free. This wasn’t good. The crodlu were slacking and the storm was hitting them.

They decided to stop and construct what makeshift cover they could, unloading the cart and upending it, digging a hole beneath for them to cram inside. Kimet moved out into the storm with Atrocles. As one of the strongest members of the party, she could help move the heavy crates to form walls around their wagon shelter to help shield them from the storm.

OOC: Kimet will help move crates, too. That makes it 3 trips out into the sandstorm? She has a carrying capacity of 240 lbs, if that helps, more if you don’t mind being encumbered (which, since not in combat or traveling, probably doesn’t matter). So maybe she can carry more, too, and shorten the amount of trips?

OOC: Its more the bulk of them that's the issue with lifting they only weigh a 50lbs or so but there rather large and stacking them in a sandstorm would be ill advised. Atro gets away with it by tucking one under his chin. I know that's weak but I'm trying to give a pretty dud feature some loving.

Between the group a shelter is erected providing some cover from the storm it is cramped and less than perfect but between the protective suits and the walls and cart covers most of the damage is mitigated.

The ones collecting the crates are not so fortunate the shear force of the storm cuts small holes in their suits and the sand cuts like shards of glass but gather the supplies up they do.
GM: I'll get another update up tonight with the maintenance had to post later than I would like and I'm getting ready for work. Plus it gives you guys chance to do anything if you wish. Oh and those that venture out take 2points of damage.

OOC: Will this be considered a rest for spending hit dice and the like, or are we screwed because of the storm? Just curious. Don’t need it exactly, but I’m down around average roll for hit points.

Kimet settled in the snug little shelter, bunched up with the others. She did what she could with the healer’s kit for the sand abrasions that had gotten through her suit. After all, even more deadly than the sand was getting a sickness in one’s blood from a festering wound.

Kimet drank a bit of water and settled down. If they were going to be stuck here, she might as well try and sleep. No watch would be needed in the middle of this nightmare.

And then she crinkled up her nose and looked around the dark interior. “Okay, who passed wind?” she demanded.
