DCC #7 The Secret of Smuggler's Cove (full)

+1 str + 2 arcane strike +2 inspire courage = +5 It would have to be rapier, because you need exotic weapon proficiency to use the Aldori with weapon finesse. Just remembered it would probably be +6 + 1 enhancement through arcane bond.

Not if it is an heirloom weapon (trait). That you would be prof with (other dueling blades you would not be).

Wouldn't that just give martial proficiency, which treats it as a longsword? As for only one blade that's a given arcane bond makes that a requirement.

Leif: Elf Druid LvL 5 - So besides 3rd lvl spells we will have spontaneous summoning, extra healing, and you get to wild shape once per day. Are you taking a companion or a domain for your nature bond?
I kinda lean away from the animal companion -- too much trouble to keep up with a whole 'nother creature. But I'm not really familiar with the other, non-animal-companion option for druids. :-S

Hmmm.. how does Heirloom weapon work with arcane bond?

Arcane bond says you get it for free while heirloom says you need to pay for a non-masterwork version. Both are MW and it does not say in wizard that you are prof if you take a weapon. Don't know how it would work for a 1st lvl wizard glad I don;t have to figure it out.

I would say it would say just build from the ground up.

You are bard (arcane duelist) at first lvl - so you pay the normal cost for a dueling sword (but it is master work) and you are prof. with that sword only - defiantly needs a name besides "the sword". And a history.

At 5th lvl it gains the properties of an bonded item. Most notably it will allow for you to cast spells while holding the sword (so you could go sword and board if you wanted to) and something else in your other hand.

You get to cast one additional spell per day.

And you can make it magical as if you had the craft magic arms and armor feat. So it could start out as a +1 weapon (and cheaper).

I see no conflict with this the only thing is you need to be a Bard LvL 5 to start with the arcane bonded dueling heirloom weapon.

Which is what the latest version of the character is, also need level 5 bard for inspire courage +2. Which was the reason for the change, wasn't going for the arcane bond. It just came along for the ride, so to speak.

Easy enough..

You get to chose a domain from the list below. And you get the daily power and domain spells (and a domain spell slot to boot).

List:

Air (Cloud, Wind)
Animal (Feather, Fur)
Earth (Caves, Metal)
Fire (Ash, Smoke)
Plant (Decay, Growth)
Water (Ice, Oceans)
Weather (Seasons, Storms)

(sub-domains in APG)

Ok, for my Druid's Nature Bond, he chooses to have access to the Air Domain and to have the Lightning Arc and the Electricity Resistance powers.

Well the Resistance you won't get till lvl 6 but having the lighting arc will be most helpful (for me when you are underwater <insert evil laugh>) jk :p

Hmm... seems you will have obscuring mist, wind wall, and gaseous form for spells everyday.

Everyone else might want to look into feats that lower or negate their miss chance % to go with the obscuring mist. If one player is effected by it could be a potent combo.

Ok, scratch Air Domain -- I want him to be an URBAN DRUID! Do I need to choose anything else for that?

I have posted a query to ask the wizards if they'll have you, and Scott DeWar and Mowgli have already responded favorably. Now if you want to take over Simeon Longknife, then that's an easy matter, and it's up to you then if his next level is in the Wizard class or not. He's a Ranger6 currently. If you want to go the more dedicated arcane route, we can have you be a classmate of theirs from Whirtlestaff's on some sort of errand or other, and you can be teleported to them by a professor or something. I'll need your help with a reason why such a character needs to be sent to them if you choose this background.
