Monkey, don't be a generalist. Be a Conjurer, and give up your familiar for Abrupt Jaunt. It's short teleportation as an Immediate Action. Basically you can say "no" to an attack Int bonus times per day. Very handy if your DM happens to Greater Teleport something wiht 16 attacks as a Full Attack action right next to you. Not that i'm that kind of dm...
As a conjrurer ban Enchantment and Evocation, you won't miss them at all. Shadow Evocation makes up for Contingent Spell.
About ToB:Bo9s i have been heaviliy pointing towards it, and Crusader in particualr for anyone with martial inclinations. Crusader, Warblade and Swordsage are top tier melee classes.
In fact, if you care, read the example sheet i provided. Elistina is very optimized, trading away everything she can for other stuff, apart from weapon proficiencies (which i think is just absurt. Give up Weapon Familiarity: Gnome hooked hammer to obtain something like Quicken Spell for free is not what the game designers had in imnd IMO)
Going to be a Human Cleric 15/Hierophant 5, I believe I never get to try the PrC.
Will be primary healer/buffer and could be in the high end of the diplomacy side if needed.
Which brings me to alignment for Faith Healing do let me know what general alignment most people wish to play for this as that will determine mine and then my diety.
Monkey: PHBII, page 68. Immediate magic - the Conjurer ability is the one in question, and is the only one worth it at lvl 20+.
Also, be sure to pick up Anticipate Teleportation, you guys will need that if Cyric decides to send his cronies at your arses.
HM: There are some very good PRCs and feats for Cleric. Not that vanilla Cleric isn't tier 1 anyway, but with simply Divine Metamagic (allows you to apply metamagic feats in exchange for turn attempts instead of higher lvl slots) and Persistent Spells (extends spell durations to 24 hours) you can have things like 24 hour Righteous Might, Divine Power etc. I can post the feats if you'd like to use them.
You can also read up on this and this guide, and if you are interseted in any specific feat/prc/spell/race i can give you the writeup.
Those are two great feats and I do want some divine ones so I don't sit on my turn attempts. Feat wise I was going to lean non-combat maybe weapon focus not sure. But really he should buff his way to be better in combat not need alot of feats.
And want as many lvls I could get in cleric to have access to as many Heal spells as possible (Thok could use one right now in VoTD).
Ack. I don't have PHB2 and, honestly, I think I'm going to have to drop out of this game. Optimization just isn't my thing and building the best character is not fun for me.
