Deities & Demigods vs Faiths & Pantheons

I hope the various gods will have some FR PrC.

Can you imagine Mystra not being Archmage 5?
Or being weaker then Elminster?

Yeah......IMHO, it kinda blows how us casual/not-at-all FR players need to pick up the FR god-book if we want stats for the demihuman deities....And, in addition, FR has SO MANY FREAKING GODS, you have to expect some of them to get the shaft....

I wouldn't be surprised if they focused on the Faerunian Pantheon and left the humanoid sub-deities flap in the breeze for now. I mean, the CORE god book left some of the CORE gods flappin' in the breeze (such as the gods from most of the Monster Manual)....


Razzin' frazzin' pantheons. Personally, I'd have rather had DDg with the Greyhawk/CORE pantheon only, and then perhaps produce the other pantheons with expansions for those settings, so that, say, one can get the entire flavor of the Olympians with one book, rather than getting the watered-down versions.

On the same level, I'd rather have FR do the FR-specific deities and leave the demihuman gods to other sources....

I don't think they'll concentrate THAT hard ON some of the deities, at least in the HUMAN panethon (do we REALLY need to know what kind of powers Finder Wyvenspur has?) I do think the Demi-human panethon WILL get detailed for two VERY important reasons 1) This is a world with LOTs of demihumans. 2) Can you really see a book that doesn't include the Drow panethon AND the Elven panethon and still not call itself Forgotten Realms?

My 2 cents

My guess is that they will elaborate more on those deities featured in the FRCS. Mainly because they are the more famous and popular ones. They will probably forgo the idea of the stats fro each racial pantheons unless there is a really big demand for them which i do not foresee.

Now this is FR and they will focus onthe gods that make the world FR, namely Lathnader, Mystra, Bane, Cyric, Tempus, etc....

There will porbabvly short sections for each god int he book probably the length of the entries in the FRCS. The lnoger ones with the prestige classes and such will be focused on the 'big gods'.

-only 30 Gods described in FRCS will get stats.

-rest wil get entries like ones in FRCS.

God spare me from Finder Wyvenspur...And a few other minor useless demi-gods/lesser gods.

To the guy That think the Deities and Demigd book is 40 or 50 dollars your wrong I just bought this afternoon for $29.95 And that is the price listed on the book.I admit I expected it to be more to after all some of there softcovers go for that much.

Oh and It's a great book.

Some of them definitely have FR Prestige classes. I know Shar has several levels of Shadow Mage, or at least did in my original turnover.

What I want is the description of the church, their dogmas, PrC for Clerics and others servants of the faith?

I fear you and I seem to be in the minority. I honestly don't care who has the bigger...Divine Rank, give me stuff I can use for my clerics and paladins.
