I _could_ tell you, sure. I'm not sure I'm supposed to. I suggest asking on the WotC FR boards, and maybe Rich Baker can give you an official answer. I certainly know a lot of people would like to see such information in the book.

You should give us more hints like this! :D

From WotC site, a F&P PrC:

The Ocular Adept, follower of the Great Mother (deity of beholders) is a humanoid who has the central eye of an eyeball beholderkin implanted in its forehead, which develops various beholder-type ray powers as the ocular adept advances in level. (Sure, you have to be lawful evil or neutral evil, but hey -- you get beholder ray attacks. Sign me up.)

Cool!

Demihuman deities

Just a question: I am really only interested in FandP for the demihuman deities. I have the FRCS etc, and the 2e demihuman deities (so I have the domains for 3e, and the descriptions for dogma etc). Will the new book cover anything I don't already have? (The reason I ask is that there are so many good books coming out right now and I am trying to prioritize....) Any inof would be great:)

Well from what I read there will be a LITTLE more info (just expanding/rehashing from the Web Enhancement) about the deities for the non-human deities. The 31 MAJOR deities get a very BIG right up.

I too hope that there is more info on the church and such and less on god stats.

Why?

A: Because the players interact with churches and not god 99.9% of the time.

B: Because the god rules are AWFULL. I'm realy sorry, they look nice on the surface, but they haven't been pushed very far.

As the rules stand now, St-Cuthbert can anihilate any god that has a a lower rank than him with one strike (he's rank 15, so that is a lot of gods). Sure, they get a save, but the DC is 136 or so (way beyond the fortitude save of the gods). I guess the designers never realised that St-Cuthbert could combine his anhilitating strike ability with his, oh, 3-4 ablities that allow him to massively boost his damage (and the DC vs anhiliation).

Gods shouldn't be able to destroy other gods with one strike just because they are slightly more powerul, rank wise.

I won't go in more details, (I have a thread about the rules in the rules forum), but basicaly, I am worried. I want info about churches, not mega god-monsters with cool but defective rules!

I have to admit the art in Deities in demigod was amazing though, and I believe you when you say it will be great in faith and pantheon too. Gods are great subjects for art.

There certainly is. The book ran long; it's packed with info. You get at least a page (not including DDG stat blocks) for the 30 major deities and a half-page for the 90 othre deities. If you've seen the FRCS, you have seen the style of the 90 writeups; the 30 major deities have expanded writeups based on that format.

That's one of mine. :)

Personally I really hope that there isn't a lot of information on the church, dogma, etc. I would rather there just be a brief blurb about that stuff. Although I don't plan to use gods and avatars extensively, they really could be appropriate for epic level campaigns. (I can't wait untill the Epic Level Handbookd comes out.)
Really, though I think the idea of dieties dogma, holy days, church etc. really gets overdone. I've had bad experiences with people who know more about the Forgotten Realms dieties' dogma and holy days than they knew about the dogma and holy days of real world religion!

I fear you and I seem to be in the minority. I honestly don't care who has the bigger...Divine Rank, give me stuff I can use for my clerics and paladins.

I don't know about that. I could care less about a god's stats. I want to see Faiths and Avatars updated for 3E.

Give me back Specialty Priests! Or some variation on that theme!
