The meeting breaks up and you get a ride to your hotel. Your rooms are all on the same hallway on the 5th floor. Your luggage is in your rooms. You settle in and go to bed.


Marcus Foster's Room

Marcus is awakened by the ringing of a phone. Looking at his watch it reads 1:13 AM. Marcus answers the phone. "Hello?"

"Foster? This is Sargent McGarnagle. The bastard struck again about an hour ago. A body of a young woman was found off an alleyway leading from Wooster Street, between Grand and Canal Streets. The Captain wants you over at the scene as soon as possible. Can you inform Dr. Anderson and Dr. Conrad as well?"

Marcus runs some cold water in his face and asks the hotel switchboard to ring up Jonathan before contacting Conrad

"John, it's Marcus. I got a call from McGarnagle. There's been another killing."

 

[Hrothgar]

Jonathan groggily answers the phone. "Hello?" He bolts upright at Marcus' dire news. "Oh no. I'm up. I'll meet you downstairs in the lobby in five minutes." Quickly Jonathan begins throwing on a pair of faded blue jeans and a long sleeved, button up shirt.

You can easily get it from the hotel operator. He says that he will call Janet and have her go with you to the crime scene. He cannot make it himself as he as an early flight in the morning.

Soon you all meet up in the hotel lobby and jump in a cab. Arriving at the scene you flash your badge and are allowed to look around. There are several police cars and an ambulance at there. The body of woman lies at the mouth of an alley.

Janet Tyler : Female Computer Programmer

Janet was having a time of it. She was in the middle of a dream about large hot red spheres attacking her when suddenly one of them starting attacking with a sonic attack. The sonic attack sounded a lot like a phone ringing. Then she realized that she had been dreaming and that the phone was actually real. Picking up the phone groggily, she hears Dr. Conrad explain the situation. Glancing at the clock she sees that it is 1:22 AM. So much for sleep. "Of course Dr. Conrad. I'll meet them in the lobby in ten minutes." She quickly got up and put on the clothes she just took off only a few hours ago. SHe grabbed the package she had gotten from Dr. Conrad and rushed to the elevator...

As she arrives with the others, she waits for their accessment. She knows she is there representing Dr. Conrad, but she has little expertise that can be useful at the moment.

Marcus has a cardboard carrier with three cups of coffee (and a chai for himself )

"First cup's on me, guys."

 

[Hrothgar]

"Thanks, Marcus." Jonathan drinks the hot coffee and shakes his head vigorously to wake up. At the crimescene, Jonathan searches for Sgt. McGarnagle. "Sgt., may I see the body please or should I wait until the crimescene has been cleared?"

 

[Gomez]

"Sure enough but it's not a pretty sight." says the Sargent. He leads you over to the body and pulls away the cloth covering the it.

There lying on the ground is a thirty something woman with long red hair. On her face is a dreadful look of horror. A horrid stench comes from the body like rotten decayed flesh. There are long claw marks on her right arm and left side. There are strangulation marks around her neck and her head is tilted at an odd angle. A ragged hole about 2 cm round is on her left breast.

 

[Hrothgar]

Jonathan closes his eys and places his hand over his mouth and nose. Taking a deep breath to steady himself, Jonathan opens his eyes and begins to closely inspect the victim.

Looking up at the ambulance driver, Jonathan says, "Would you mind if I rode with you? I'd like to begin the examination of the body as well as start a blood, DNA, and protein analysis of that wound immediately when we arrive at the hospital."
