Destiny's Tears: Champions of Arris

(OOC:

That's about right on the numbers. And far fewer actually live there--most are only here temporarily on the way to somewhere else.

Selar could try to check. However, you aren't even getting the faint glow, which considering the comet's small size is unusual. However, the thieves have clearly found some way to conceal and/or midirect the Jewel's aura in the past.

Mojiin are no more rare here than in Eldiz, but they aren't too common in either place. And with a smaller overall population, there can't be more than a handful on the whole comet, and Abdiel and Mhrazhar have not seen any others yet.

The docks are built over a wide open crater that stretches out past the dome into a sea of beautiful flowing ice. Around the area are warehouses and a few taverns, with inns located a little farther towards the centre.)

[OOC: I know that we have a description of what the scryed thieves look like. A male and female and we have names associated with them? We also have the "bodygard" as well. If I remember correctly they are all of the same race... the freakish ass kicking monk'ies race (Larakese?). ;)

It has been a while, could you refresh my memory as to what was said about the scrying? I have been cycling through my email to try to find this the post that relates to it and cannot.

Once we have that, and I am not totally off on what I remember, I think that we will want to hunt down the nearest villa of any Larakese in the area.
]

(OOC: Do you mean monks or monkies :p They are fairly Asian in appearance, rather than simian. I can't find that post either because the cras htook away my Community Supporter status and they still haven't put it back yet. The male thief, Sasuke, looks exactly the same as the bodyguard you encountered before except wearing black ninja garb instead of the white robe of a Martial Artist. This is because, according to the scrying, he *is* the bodyguard. The girl looks similar but has hair of an unusual lavender colour and is quite lovely underneath her black ninja outfit. She was called 'Yami' by Sasuke.)

"We may want to ask around and see where the Larakese side of town is and begin hunting there. I am expecting that there will be a villa that they own. ...
or most likely they will be here in passing just for the sale and then they will leave. I am thinking that we will want to hit the inns with suites in them. We can start by wandering our way towards the rich side of town. What do ya think?
"

[OOC: Thanks! In the scry wasn't the room they were in quite luxurious?]

(OOC: It was a fairly well-furnished room, but not incredibly so. It seemed like an inn room to the people that saw the scry, though they may not have carried it across well to you in writing)

"I agree, they are most likely passing through. I'll also bet they moved somewhere different when they determined they had been scired," Alire ponders.

"They will most likely move to a place that has better security... a more upscale Inn so they have to worry less... or go completely the opposite ... sit with thieves and brigands in secret hideout that we will have no chance at finding without Vhrys. :(

I am opting for the possibility that we have a chance. We will have to ask around at inns and see if some Larakese checked out or changed rooms on the day that they were scried. We have a decent idea what they look like barring magical disguises.

Sending Selar out won't hurt either. If anything it will make them nervous and go on the move and hopefully make a mistake. Sending him out shouldn't hurt. :uhoh:
"

"Worst case we will have a good idea that they are not at an upscale inn by the time that the rest of them get here .... or we'll be pulverized by a rabid Larakese.

I am assuming that have a kunai in oneself is a bad thing! :(

I will go and ask the person at the desk where the upscale inns are, as we have friends there that we want to surprise and then we can head off.
"

"Yes...let us show our friends a good surprise."

*The man behind the desk cheerfully points out the locations of the three best inns on the comet.*

*I thank the attendant and head towards one of the Inn's. We should also release Selar and have him carefully scout out the city as dead animal companions/familiars are not a good thing.*

[OOC: What are the names of the 3 Inns and what else can he tell us about the particulars of the Inn? What are they know for? Standard Clientele and so on.]
