Clifftop is the adventurer's quarter. Its up in the Upper Dura ward in the north west corner of Sharn. The Clifftop Adventurer's Guild is a nice place, lots of people who have been to Xendrik and back. There are lots of businesses in the area that cater to adventurers like The Augury, The Dragon's Hoard, The Drunken Dragon, Kurala's House of Healing, and a number of important Dragonmarked House Enclaves. They have a rivalry with...

The Deathsgate Guild over in Deathsgate ~ Middle Tavicks Landing. Typically Neutral - Evil alignments. Lots of ex-soldiers from the war. They have a shrine to the Mockery hidden in the back room.

How about the tavern nearby there then ~ the Drunken Dragon?

I think I can see why you'd object. Guild membership would then be a prerequisite to all members of our community and that should not be forced.

Exactly so. The tavern is perfectly fine.

By the way, once we establish a few generic common-ground RP areas, I think it would be pretty cool to have some special places to add later, like adventurer's guilds, that only characters who have joined the guild IC (etc) can access. Perhaps there are even cool perks involved!

Well, I have to say that the thought of getting a Living Eberron game up and running (and hopefully as popular as Living EnWorld) has got me giddy. I'm working up a rapier-wielding Silver Flame Templar right now. I should have it ready sometime in the next two days. If there is room in this hypothetical adventuring party, I'm game for it.

I'll miss the first adventure or two, perhaps, as I'll be mostly out the next 10 days. I'm going to rethink my PC, too. I've got a couple other ideas, now, for a cleric and a rogue.

Tavern works... are the Living Eberron threads linked at the beginning of this? Or does it have its own sub-board yet?

They'll eventualy be in their own subforum, but not for a bit.

I'll get a tavern thread up, and make it interesting.

As for the first party, there are 3 approved, likely one more coming soon, which makes 4. We'll probably get more approvals soon, though they may slow down a little bit till the begining of next week.

I'm thinking several cool hangouts, plus a special newspaper for adventurers that puts out requests, with a bulletin board in a spot where they always pin up the newest issue.

As for the Kenku, are they even in Eberron? I haven't seen any mention of them. Oh, and since we're talking about MM3. I may be the only Druid, but even I say that we need to ban the Fleshraker Dinosaur from MM3 *right now*. If you don't believe me, read it again and imagine a Druid who can turn into that at level 5. Also, they're killers for their CR of 2 anyways.
If you're willing to be the official LEB Gnome, I'm all for a newspaper ;)

And Kenku are mentioned as being in Eberron, and they don't seem unbalanced, I'm all for them.

And yes, the Fleshraker needs to have it's CR adjusted, so right now banning it from druid morphing is fine with me till we figure out a corrected one.
