The Tower's Shard tavern thread is up.

Anyone is welcome to post there once they have posted a character. However, approved characters will be the only ones allowed to go on adventures and actualy earn XP. The GM has the final say on who goes and who stays.

If you're willing to be the official LEB Gnome, I'm all for a newspaper ;)

And Kenku are mentioned as being in Eberron, and they don't seem unbalanced, I'm all for them.

And yes, the Fleshraker needs to have it's CR adjusted, so right now banning it from druid morphing is fine with me till we figure out a corrected one.
Uhhh, I'm not a Gnome :p

As for the Fleshraker, you could make it CR 20 and a Druid could still turn into it at level 5 because it has 4 HD. It just needs to be banned, plain and simple.

Having gone through the thread, it appears as though this hasn't been brought up (although quite possibly it was brought up on a different thread and got shot down). And based on the "acceptable" books listed I know the answer is probably 'no'... but I figured I'd confirm it anyway.

I assume the variant classes in the UA are not allowed? I have my Urban Ranger from a previous Eberron game (Pohl D'Velderan) that I'd love to bring in, but it doesn't appear as though the Urban Ranger variant is allowed. If this is true, I'll see if I can approximate him as either a fighter, regular ranger or rogue... but I wanted to double-check first before I begin disecting the crunch.

Please let me know if all UA variants are a no-go, or if variant classes are acceptable on a case-by-case basis. Then I'll go ahead and get the crunch posted. Thanx!

I see this party and imagine dead leaves and the dirty ground. ;)

I'm always curious to see how a group works out the healing paradigm. Artificer, druid, paladin, ranger, ranger suggests lots of wands of healing. It will be interesting to see how the situation evolves starting around 5th level and beyond, assuming the DM throws a normal spread of curses, diseases, negative levels, negative conditions, poisons, ability damage and drain, and rapid damage in big chunks from large monsters.

The UA variants are currently not acceptable. However, I expect we will be okaying a bunch of them fairly quickly once we get our subforum and start making proposals. My suggestion is thus to pick something else for your first character and wait for just a bit. When we start allowing two characters, throw the Urban Ranger in the ring, and by then, you can have proposed it and have it accepted :)

I just noticed that there's a paladin and a neutral evil barbarian in the same group. Do you guys have a plan for making that work? Also, props on the kenku rogue--I love the kenku and am definitely using it as a player race in a future campaign.

Ummm...this isn't a group actually, it's a character thread for the Living Eberron shared world. Take a look at the Living Eberron thread in Talking the Talk and discuss there :) Also, KO, do you have the power in this subforum to delete or move these posts to clear this thread up?

I think for now, it isn't allowed, but it doesn't mean it won't become. Judging from LEW, if the class fits well (and it looks like to fits well), if it isn't powerfull (seems a little more weaker than the normal ranger), you only need the judge approval for it. So go on and ask.

I'll miss the first adventure or two, perhaps, as I'll be mostly out the next 10 days. I'm going to rethink my PC, too. I've got a couple other ideas, now, for a cleric and a rogue.
The goblinoids of Dhakan (esp. hobgoblins) have a strong tradition of bards as well (they are the closest thing they have to clerics, as they did not have priests).
