No worries, perfectly understandable. I'd like to move on to the 3rd level characters next, but I am pretty full on games and can probably just wait till that is open in a few months. Just wanted to pose the question after seeing Patlin's remark that the inn was empty.

I figure best to open up the 2nd levels before the 3rds because anything else will leave the 3rds even farther ahead of everyone else and unable to find a party as easily after the end of their first adventure (for instance, assume we allow 3rd earlier and that we wait about three months between allowing 3rd and 2nd. Three months averages to about half a level, so that means the 3rd level characters are going to be more like level 3.5 (and some will hit 4) before the 2nds are even around)

Same thing went through my head when it was first proposed to do staggered starting levels, but with LEW its pretty easy to have characters of different levels on the same adventure.

Sometimes. I do have to admit to feeling combat-useless in LEW in adventures with Troi, who was level 4 even when Lasair was level 1, although Lasair might be just about as useless even at Troi's level. Fortunately, LEW adventures usually have a lot of interaction compared to fighting, so it wasn't bad at all. Now, if we had had a high-level character in LPNN, we would have definitely felt it, since that adventure had hard fights one after another :uhoh:

Um, I just realized I forgot ID on Shearan. Any objections to adding that in now?

As the DM of Shearan's current adventure, I authorize you to fix that little detail.

Thank you Sir, all of the character sheets are now at my fingertips and the bloodshed can begin presently!

Just finished reading Keith Baker's "City of Towers" novel. I found the Artificer character interesting and versatile, though I was constantly trying to figure out how what she was doing actually fit in mechanically. (i.e. What infusion is that? What armor ability is she augmenting?)

Also interesting for the backdrop. It's definitely a complicated city. Sort of makes me want to aquire the Sharn sourcebook.
