Ah, Sharn...

I remember when I first got into Eberron, some months after it came out, I was sure I would never become fixated on Sharn, as so many others seemed to be. And then the campaign I was in arrived in Sharn, and Xen'drik as a destination was constantly being pushed, and... and... well, now every time I try to think of a concept for my woefully hideous Rogues' Gallery, I quite often start thinking of Sharn. Something about the notion that everyone plays there certainly has a way of drawing you in after a while. That being said, personally I think it is a good book. Makes me want to check out Cityscape too.

I appologize for being late on approval. I'll be there tomorow night, but you're still welcome in the Tavern. As far as I know, all adventures currently purposed have been filled, so you're not waiting on anything

FYI, I have just aquired the Magic and Players Guide, so once I pour over them, I'll be able to comment further.

Ugh, Mud...

In the case of the other three campaigns, how long was it before the players started showing up in the tavern, and when the actual gameplay started (i.e. the guy who is hiring enters)?

I don't want to sound *too* impatient here, but I do recall a post from a while ago bemoaning how perhaps the existing players should be allowed to make their next set of characters. Perhaps this really isn't for me. I'm the kind of person who would like to be able to post at the very least something meaningful once per day, and preferrably more. I decided to take a look at PbP to take some of the edge off of the irregular schedule of my real gaming group, so perhaps I got in for the wrong reasons...

As for the Player's Guide... good book, especially since it is one of the few that has an index, or rather indices. One for fluff, and one for crunch.

For the hiring, it looks like you have not be lucky for your first charcter. When you are lucky, it takes less than a week. Average waiting time is two weeks, but some people have waited a month in Living EnWorld before finding an adventure.

For game speed, there is many games that are progressing fast enough to post once a day, but I would tell the average is one every other day (yeah, there is some very slow games). That's why some people play in more than a game (or have more than 1 character in Living games), so you have something to do every day you come, as you can tell at least a game would have progress in the day if you have 4 characters in 4 different adventures.

I've just sent out an adventure proposal. It is strongly based on a published adventure. Namely, the first level adventure in Dungeon #118. Won't tell the title here, though, it might give away a few things. :p
