The LEW one should be good, though there were a few tweeks I wanted to add as well. I'll pour over it and make my suggestion.

Also, the Investigation and Research feats. I've always thought they were somewhat redundant with the skills themselves. Any thoughts?

Fair enough, we need AP anyways. As well as country or background or something like that.

I always liked those two feats. and they offer a way into the lowest level prc in any wotc product Master Investigator. Personally I haven't used any rules like those within the bounds of skills. They might be substandard feats in the eyes of some, but then so is virtually any use of Skill Focus (except UMD for artificers ~ though again that is a point of debate).

I'd think there'd have to be some benefit to leveling in the time units. I'll try to think on it over the weekend.
 

The LEW sheet would need action points, region, perhaps an affiliation section. It also isn't the greatest for multiclassed characters as you don't have a place to write Fighter X/Rogue X.

Also, perhaps change the "Level: X" entry to "ECL: X" to include for races with LA & HD.

For time units perhaps

Starting amount of time units = x
Time spent in Living Eberron = x time unit per rl day
Crafting feats = +X
Level up = +X per ECL

Thus craft feats provide a slight bump in units and the level up adds an amount variable by ECL.

I've always thought the Research was worthless and redundant with knowledge checks. In my games I have allowed circumstance bonuses to knowledge checks for PCs with access to libraries.

The Investigator feat is a bit different. While you are still effectively making a search check, finding a clue and learning something from it are two different things. I think analyzing a crime scene would take some special training, hence the feat.

Just my opinion.

I did A quick inventory on Eberron books and publishing dates.

Now, ECS is obviously a given, as is Races (Both of which I have). Sharn's been out for a while, so we should probably look at that. I just ordered Five Nations and Explorers (mostly because Sharn was out of stock).

That leaves Magic and Players that are out now and and not on the list of books I have access to. If we go with a 6 month release prologing, both still qualify. I'm not sure that's long enough to assume wide circulation, but it doesn't seem too unrealistic. Obviously, we'll have to include books when it's feasable to do so.

Am I missing any?
