Did You Buy the First Three 4e Core Books?

I bought the PHB. That is all. And then I gave it away to someone who was actually going to play 4e.

No. I followed the 4E news as it became available, and very quickly determined that 4E was not a game in which I was the least bit interested. I'm happily continuing my two 3.5 campaigns.

I didn't purchase them, nor did anyone purchase them for me. Rather, I (legally) downloaded the PDFs for review purposes over at RPGNow.

My next campaign involves awakened forest animals as PCs and requires greenhags and druids. I seldom, if ever, run stock dungeon crawls where core races are the norm.

Yes, in fact I bout two PHB's. They hardly ever make it to the shelf. For one reason or another, mostly the PHB, they sit at my desk or gaming table or at the FLGS for game days.

I was considering gifting a couple other PHB's as well, but found out I didn't have to, the folks I would have given them to got them as gifts from family.

Same here. Three books plus box, with the box holding enough negative value to make the books quite cheap.

I bought the 3 corebooks and an extra PHB... now the only reason I bought the books, sight unseen, was because I bought into the hype that SWSE was actually a preview for 4e. I now know better than to go of that type of hype ever again, because while I love SWSE, I'm pretty meh towards 4e, and IMHO 3.5 is much closer to SWSE than 4e is...even though it was suppose to be a preview.
