As I am moving to the UK this week (in fact, I'm already here, I'm just getting settled), I may be less responsive for the next week. Apologies in advance.

I accidently posted this in the '09 thread, so here it is:

Ok, here is an honest thought: What woud the possibility of proposing a feat that is simalr to another feat from a book of non OGL?

Case in point:
School of fighting technique:
weapon and shield specialization: gives the use of a shield: +1 to ac when used in conjunction with a melee weapon

Admitidly, it is shield specialization but re-written a bit.

so I should be using this one that is also outdated; good to know. :D

Also; I take it Lycanthropes can't speak while in their animal forms normally, right?

Yellow, it's teh goof ball again. I would still like my last question addressed, but I have a few new ones as well:
What craft skill is used to make Wagons and carriages?
What craft Skill is used for making barding and other riding gear? (armor smith for the first? no clue for the next one though, maybe a tanner?)
Can a PC rent/co-own a workshop with an other PC.
Can are workshops for one kind of Craft only, or can one workshop be used for any kind of craft?

I can address a few of these, so here we go

Lycanthropes: have you looked in the srd for that answer? I read it and it does not say one way or the other , although I am inclined to say no.

wagons and carriages? I do bot know, But I am curious, why? maybe carpentry?

barding and other riding gear: as you have speculated, barding is armorer (except leather barding is leather worker), the tack and harness would be leather working. I also know of a fighter trained in that...

Can a PC rent/co-own a workshop with an other PC? I believe a workshop can employ a certain number of people and so as long as that number is not exceeded then yes,

Can are workshops for one kind of Craft only, or can one workshop be used for any kind of craft? I am inclined to say no.

That was my first asuption, however, I think Carpandray is the generazation, as black smithing is to a weapon or armor smith I know there is a trade name for people who work on/make horse draw wagons, but I can't recall it., so I'm asking ^^;
And as for why: I plan on making armored carriages! o_O (I also plane on making ones able to, with the assistance of magic, expand into any number of things: Boat, fort, mobile workshop/lab, etc. hmm, maybe that would be engenaring o_O;

Yes, I like goof ball things

Can are workshops for one kind of Craft only, or can one workshop be used for any kind of craft? I am inclined to say no.
No to which? No; they arn't for just for one kind. Or. No, they are just for one kind?

__

btw, could I imply/RP that, when buying an item, that one of my characters purchased the item from an other one of my characters? I'm just wandering how far the "Don't have your characters interfere with one an other" goes.

I am inclined to say: one craft to one shop. it seems like this was discussed before, where I made the same assumption, but was wrong. Lets see what the judges all say.

k, also; When buying a new language with skill points; dos it cost 1 or 2 points per a language, and is there a limit?

Unless you pay twice to set up the premises, it's one craft to one shop. Even if you do pay double the price, I'd be inclined to say that it's adjacent premises.

By Adjacent premises do you mean if you pay for two, or more, you can say they're combined/built into the same building?

and what about buying more languages with SP? :3
(Just be happy I'm not asking "why?" over and over again? XD)

The SRD says: "You can purchase Speak Language just like any other skill, but instead of buying a rank in it, you choose a new language that you can speak."

(1) if Speak Language is a class skill for your current class, then learning a new language costs 1 skill point.

This is the case for Bard (and its variants other than Savage Bard), Cloistered Cleric, Planar Ranger (for only some languages), Human Paragon (if player so chooses), Arcane Trickster, Dragon Disciple, Horizon Walker, Loremaster and Thaumaturgist; also for two LEW homebrew PrCs, Seeker of the Elemental Song and Trader.

(2) if Speak Language is not a class skill for your current class, then the cost is 2 skill points

(3) since you do not specifically buy ranks in the Speak Language skill, the RAW implication is that the usual level+3 or (level+3)/2 rank limit does not apply, but I would consider it 'good manners' to stay within the limit, as with all other skills.

Incidentally, languages known to be spoken in Enworld but not on the table of common languages include Old Medibarian and Sairundani, Maenad and Xeph. The existence of a Riverfolk language is strongly implied by their halting use of Common.

I was randomly looking and found this

If you scroll down to Medium Armor Optimization, you will see that that it says it makes dwarf barbarians moves at 35' with this feat, even though it says it dos not rise the speed cap of a character (Dwarf Barbs move at 30 normally): also the feat "Greater Medium Armor Optimization" says a dwarf barbarian can move 30' with it. and it is a strait on upgrade to Medium Armor Optimization. :heh:

Me thinks it needs to be fixed :uhoh:

Well three weeks and no DM should any judges be about I think we might need a step in for The Charming Warden game.

I'm still here. I apologize for the sudden and unexplained absence. This forum has been an incredibly enjoyable pastime for the last few years, and I'm quite upset that I haven't been faithful for the last few weeks.

As I said in the Warden thread, meatspace continues to be hectic for me, so my long posts may be rare. But I will try to log on every day, even if it's just to say, "Here!"

Once again, sorry!
