Hmm, what did I change on the Half-Drow...
- Low-light vision to Darkvision. Well, natural choice and appearantly aligned with FRCS.
- Removed the +2/+2 Skill bonus and replaced it by the drow's raised saving throws, to give it at least a sparkle of the drow's resistance. Now the +2/+2 wasn't there when FRCS was written, so it makes sense that they didn't make such change.
- Added Ability modifiers, just to make it a little different than Half-Elves and to give it something none of the other ECL 0 races have. Half-Orcs have modifiers, so why shouldn't Half-Drow?
- Added Preferred Class. All races with ability modifiers have a preferred class. It might be outbalanced not to.
For the Elf-Drow, it has Superior Low-Light Vision, instead of Low-Light Vision. One parent has Low-Light Vision and the other has Superior Darkvision, so gotta go with either one. I thought that maybe it was nice to give them the Low-Light Vision from the elven parent with the Superior part from the drow parent, so it again has something special for an ECL 0 race (Well, Aqua elves got it too, but they're less playable).
An Elf-Drow with a torch can see clear up to 80 feet and see poor up to 160 feet. That certainly beats the sight of Dwarves, Half-Orcs, Orcs and Half-Drow, except for the fact that she needs a torch whereas the others do not.
Of course they were just suggestions, and if the judges decide to go with the boring FRCS version, fine with me.
