The group forms up around the now prone Fourbee, warriors flanking the two arcanists in the middle.

As the large dire bat swoops around for another pass, it lets out a horrible shriek of fury; finally having caught the scent of it's decapitated mate!

Barrelling down at the Heroes, all four let fly with devistating attacks!

Blades flash, magic sparks, and the group tries their best to bring the group down... but the creature's speed is too great and it skillfully dodges Kaz's strike, it's gnraled and hardened skin shrugging aside Raekz slash, while the dire bat's speed is too great for either Jehen or the downed Fourbee to hit the mark.

Still, the Gods must be looking over the group, because they're all able to duck or dodge the large slavering fangs of the beast that passes over head.

ooc; misses all around! Okay, take it down! Actions, please!

354b will try again to use Entangling Ectoplasm when it attacks.
PP remaining: 1/5
Ranged touch attack 1d20+2=22 Roll Lookup
the power lasts for one round.
Occ: natural 20! question can I crit on an attack spell?

Growing more angry at himself for the missed attack, Kaz hefts his greatsword over his head and awaits the creatures next swoop.

The sword moves with the hobgoblin mercenary as he swings the blade at the bat, carefully avoiding following through with the 6 foot blade into his allies.

Jehen tried to keep her head down, and she resolutely avoided thinking about the trickling warmth dribbling down the back of her neck. Surely it was just a scratch, she kept trying to convince herself...

Once again, she called forth a handful of arcane energies and hurled it at the remaining bat- unfortunately she stumbled at a critical moment, but at least she avoided hitting any of her compatriots with the bolt.

OOC: Another eldritch blast, and another miss. 1d20+2 touch= 7; roll Roll Lookup ; this is getting silly now.

Keeping their tight knot together as the ominous soungs of flapping leathery wings bounces off the cave walls around them, the group continues to stay on the offensive.

While the dire bat may be big, fast, and ferocious, it's tactics leave something to be desired as it continues to simply dive bomb the group. Luckily for the heroes, this allows them to begin to time their attacks and maximize their effectiveness.

For the smaller of the two hobgoblins though, today just isn't his day; the swift swing of his weapon still too slow to catch the bat. Jehen's blast of arcane balefire goes wide as well, as she staggers after stepping wrong.

4B, even from the ground, fires true a gob of ecotoplasmic energy coallessing around his outstretched hand before streaking to strike the bat directly in the face!

In mid-dodge of Raekz' attack, the creature shrieks in anger and simply shakes it's head mightily, throwing the good from itself!

Kaz isn't fooled though, and having set himself perfectly to be ready for the creature to dodge his hogoblin companion's attack, is directly in line with the bat as he brings his sword down in a vicious twohanded strike that cuts deeeeeep into the membrane of thec creature's left wing; hot black blood spurting across the scene as the bat wobbles mid flight and misses the big fighter with it's fangs.

ooc; actions? also, 4B is shooting from prone, which gives him a penalty. Additionally, the goo power only works on Medium or smaller creatures (unless one uses more PP to buff the power) and the bat is a LARGE animal. Finally, you guys are doing great! Keep up the awesome posts!

Bolstered by his successful strike, Kaz smiles as he awaits the return attack. He steps forward and raises the blade above his head, attempting to cleave the bat, as an executioner his victim.

Kaz's exuberance causes him to overswing against the agile opponent and all he manages to hit is the ground, the sword clanging loudly.

[sblock]Occ: well 354b can't use more PP's a round then his manisfester level a round which is one at the moment, also it didn't click in my head that the bats were large. I was thinking that the penalty to attack for being prone only applied to melee attacks. [/sblock]

354b, realizing that the power he was using was and is useless, is quickly running out of options. So he will use his final PP to cast Crystal shard at the dire bat.

Jehen managed a taut grin for just a moment as Kaz landed a solid blow. The bat was agile, but it was so intent on attacking that its options were limited- sooner or later it was going to get hit. Hopefully that would be before it took down any more of her compatriots... As yet another of her arcane bolts pelted only the tunnel wall, Jehen started to reach for her spell components again- she only had a few incantations available, but she might have to use one of them if their terrible luck kept flowing.

OOC: Another eldritch blast- another miss, 1d20+2 touch=8; roll Roll Lookup
