"Leave this beast to me Raekz, can you do something about that bat?" Kaz calls over to his fellow hobgoblin, surprised that the creature survived his first assault.

If Raekz complies (and the bat's still alive), Kaz looks over at the helpless bat and almost feels pity for it... almost.

With a roar, the hobgoblin focuses his blade on a vital area and swings with all his might, muscles bulging as he grips the blade.

"Right, the other bat, time for a batter!" exclaims Raekz's lousy joke. But what I can do? Let's see. Raekz leaves the stunned bat on the ground besides Kaz, and heads over to Jehen. He holds him guisarme high, ready to strike if the bat comes nearby again.

Ready Action: Attack (1d20+4)=19, Damage (2d4+4)=8

Jehen gave a sharp yelp of pain- but she knew things could easily have been worse. As the bat wheeled around, Jehen scrambled backwards a step, towards the protection of the heavy fighters. Another flare of energy coalesced around her hand, then lanced outward- but the pain of her wound sent the shot awry.

OOC: 5-foot step on whatever direction seems advantageous- most likely inside the reach area of the fighters. Then another eldritch blast: 1d20+2 touch= 9- I guess that will miss; 1d6 potential damage; rolls Roll Lookup

Leaping into action, the group reorients itself to the dire creatures that now threaten them. Kaz' mighty muscles bludge as he simply lops the head off the already downed creature, ending it's life.

Jehen retreats, sending forth another stream of baleful energy, though her attack goes wide as the Bat above wheels for another pass at the group.

Moving to the front, Raekz brings his weapon to bare, making a powerful downward slash directly into the path of the dire bat, but the creature is too quick and simply rotates to a vertical position, passing directly adjacent to the attack.

The shorter hobgoblin feels an airy breeze stir as the creature continues onward.

Fourbee seems to go dead for a moment, still and silent, as he concentrates and marshalls energy within himself. Green gems along his body suddenly illuminating with surpressed psionic power, the Warforged shoots out his own spear of bright green energy.

Hitting the creature full in the face, psionic feedback wracks it's mind for a moment as it locks on to the metal man now before it, dive bombing him!

Cruel fangs rip into 354B's metal shoulder as the full weight of a 200 pound creature moving at speed knocks into the warforged! A screech of rent metal fills the air as the creature continues on it's path, knocking the warforged senseless! (-10hp).

ooc; FourBee is 'disabled'

Kaz will turn his attention from the headless corpse and turn to the scene around him."Come together, form a defensive circle, make it come to us" the hobgoblin says, as he stands next to the disabled warforged and prepares for the eventual swoop attack.

Ready an attack action:
Attack; Damage (1d20+6=9, 2d6+6=13) a big Whiff!

Occ: oops your right. If 354b is prone he will stay on the ground and ready the action to cast Entangling Ectoplasm when the bat attacks.
PP remaining 2/5
ranged touch attack 1d20+2=9 Roll Lookup

Raekz lets Jehen get over to the circle first, trying to cover her approach. "Very warm welcome, too warm! Perhaps a change in tactics might be good, back to the tunnel where we can funnel them!"

Natural 1 to hit!

Jehen continued to track the bat's flight cautiously, and she stepped around just as carefully- both in an attempt to keep Raekz's armored form between her and the beast, and to avoid the puddle of blood flowing out of the other creature's decapitated corpse...

She could spare only a momentary glance for the warforged- that had sounded like a very hard hit, but it was so hard to tell when such beings were injured. As she moved, she pulled a slim wand from one of the pockets of her coat with her left hand, as her right gathered another swirling twist of arcane power.

OOC: Move action to step around to most advantageous position, drawing her Eternal wand of Repair Light Damage with one hand. Then another eldritch blast at the remaining bat (ranged touch 1d20+2= 9, another miss; potential damage 1d6=4; rolls Roll Lookup )
