(DMF Campaign) The Dream

(Unless you can move 30 ft and fire an arrow, its not possible, I believe 5 ft step and attack is the limit. I'm not sure if there is confusion on this, but these things are Medium Sized)

Another of Xen's brilliant beams of energy strikes a blue dog-man, felling it as its body, recoiling from the impact quickly falls behind the charging dogs.

Arathan's arrow strikes true hitting the injured dog square in the chest. The dog's charge causes it to almost fly back at the arrow's impact, causing it to roll backwards a bit after it hits the ground.

Xen topples to the ground, blood spilling openly and quickly onto the soft almost ethereal-feeling grass. Though not dead yet, it looks like if nothing is done he will be soon.

(That's it for the monsters, that was a hefty load of dice there. I may after to constantly change my Dice Roller SN is order to make things readable. If anyoen has the same problem then add one to the numerical value of the Dice Roller SN and continue. "John" would become "John1" then "John2" and so on if that change is needed. When you or I, notify everyone)

Let the battle continue...

[sblock](I do believe that firing a bow is just a standard action for one attack, loading being a free action. That's why high level characters get interative attacks. It's the crossbow that requires a move action to load. Of course, it might not really matter now that the injured list has drastically changed and I'm needed elsewhere. Your call. Oh, and I used the sblock as a curtisy do to the fact I'm asking for a rule call in game - hope you don't mind on both accounts. - Game On!)[/sblock]

@Nightcloak
[sblock]I believe that attacking at lower levels, since you have only one attack is considered a full-attack action which takes up a whole round but allows for a five foot step before OR after. (Unless you have spring attack in which case you get one before AND after) This may change at higher levels but I'll have to look it up when it comes to that[/sblock]

[sblock]Attacking is always a standard action. Full-attack is used to get multiple attacks in a single round, such as from multiple weapons or bonus attacks from a high BAB. Spring Attack and Shot on the Run make it so that you can basically put your attack (still a standard action) within your move. So for Spring Attack, you could run up to a guy, attack, and run away, as long as your not moving more than a single move action would allow you. Shot on the Run would let you jump around the corner, fire your arrow, then continue on to the other side of the wall that you're using as cover. There are other instances of when these feats would be useful, but that's beside the point. It is possible to attack and move in the same round (attack with a standard action, move with a move action).

Game on.[/sblock]

It's time to make you pay.

5-foot step back, attacks left-most creature.

24 (19+5)

damage
11 (4+3+4)

Who's next?

[sblock]Don't forget, spiked chain gives me an attack of opportunity against any of these things that tries to close from 10' to 5' :] [/sblock]

"Dammit"

If I'm close enough to the fallen Wizard, I'll make a move action to him - oppisite the dogs and out of reach. Then as a standard action I'll cast Cure Light Wound: 6 = 5+1
