Do the spells of a slain spellcaster end the instant he is killed?

Ot of curiosity, what's the trap?

When someone says "No, if you cast GMW on a Shillelaghed club, it becomes a magical club, and is therefore no longer a 'nonmagical club or quarterstaff', and thus no longer a valid target for Shillelagh, and Shillelagh is suppressed..."

... the trap is to point out that Shillelagh makes the club no longer a 'nonmagical club or quarterstaff', and thus no longer a valid target for Shillelagh, and so Shillelagh is suppressed... which makes the club nonmagical, and thus a valid target, so the spell is unsuppressed, which starts the cycle all over...

Gives you a nifty strobe effect that can induce epileptic fits in anyone watching with Arcane Sight. But it also demonstrates a problem with the "polling" model.

So you're saying my Greyhawk Shillelagh disco doesn't work? Sonofa... this is going to put all those gnome DJs out of a job. Which will piss off the union. Have you ever tangled with a gnomeish DJ union? Thanks a lot
