That was a funny part of the interview, since it seemed that Brink was realizing in real time how difficult it was going to be for people to make homebrew campaigns using the 3d vtt

There will have to be limitations, just as there are when you use miniatures and terrain. Your imagination is pretty much always going to have more scope than the tools at hand, so you work within those tools or you do theatre of the mind.

When I create an encounter for my campaign, I generally do so with my terrain and miniature collection in mind. Mind you, that has led to me investing a ton in my terrain and miniature collection. But you can't have everything, so you have to accept limitations. If that kind of thing is important to you.
