Spoilers Doctor Who s15 (or 2) [[spoilers!]]

The Midnight Entity returns and has completely different powers and a completely different MO for some reason. It's not even addressed, it would be one thing if The Doctor mentioned it, but apparently viewers are just supposed to ignore what happened in the episode this is a sequel to. Unless the point is The Midnight Entity plays a different 'game' each time, but if that was the case The Doctor should at least have mentioned that it's different.

The telekinetic murders just looked stupid.

Yet another case of episodic characters committing suicide to try to defeat villains. At this point it's just a cheap plot device to draw out viewer emotions, which is not how such a serious subject should be treated.

And it was all for nothing since apparently The Midnight Entity or another thing like it got on a survivor's back so they're all going to die anyway.

There may be at least two of those Midnight creatures, as they made a point of showing the airlock had four people in it, when only Alyss and two troopers went in. And then plus the one they thought was left behind, but actually escaped on Mo. I don't think the one on Alyss ever left her and that is when the 2nd one came along, maybe from the Well after they reactivated things.

I just happened to have watched a reaction video to Midnight earlier in the week, which reminded me just how unsettling it was (brilliant performance by Tennant), so I was seriously not prepared to be hit with a sequel this week.

The different abilities of the entity didn't bother me. In Midnight it learned and evolved its game, and it's had 400,000 years since then, so sure, it can do different things. It did get me thinking of Donna in Turn Left, though - "There's something on your back."
