Does Shapechange grant you BAB?

Pretty sure you keep *your* BAB.

A lvl 20 Druid wildshaping into a Black Bear (why, who cares why... just go with it! ) would be far more accurate than a normal run of the mill Black Bear.

No, you keep your own BAB. Shapechange gives you the benefits of Polymorph, with the additional aspects listed under Shapechange. And Polymorph works off Alter Self, with some differences. Alter Self explicitly says you keep your own BAB, and neither Polymorph nor Shapechange says anything to change that.

They really should write the full description of those spells and not just the 'as ... except' stuff, unless the changes are really simple (like Greater Dispel).

It's not like they save any noteworthy amount of space that way...
