Domain of Dread: Monadhan

I found this to be an excellent article, you have an interesting Darklord with a compelling backstory and a unique domain.

I enjoyed the article too. I'm not a Ravenloft or "Domains of Dread" expert, but I do think the idea behind this domain strays from the norm (if dread domains have a "norm"). Most of the inhabitants are not innocents sucked into the domain along with the dark lord, but rather traitors and betrayers from different times and different worlds. It's described as "hellish", but seems more like a purgatory to me.

Interesting. I like it!

... and perhaps a hint that Ravenloft is the next campaign setting?

Thaumaturge.

Well, there was at least one other DoD article before. I suspect this will just be a recurring feature.

Personally, at least in some ways, I really like this incarnation of Ravenloft. It fits the weekend in hell motif that was really popular. They've dropped the silly "every race but humans are hated" idea. They've done a decent job so far of making these adventures about figuring out what is happening and not just dungeon crawling.

Two, actually: Sunderheart and Graeffmotte.

Easily the most twisted and brilliant so far. I wasn't too impressed with Graeffmotte, but I liked Sunderheart and this one beats that hands down. I also find it kinda funny that we have one for each tier: The Heroic one is a small town, the Paragon one is a large city-state...and the epic is a miserable little refugee camp. Bit of a decline there.

Good one. Love te way the Domain started, as if Shadowfell himself chooses the dragon (and not a silly "cuz god x wuntz it" reason) :P
