I think I'm going to stick with the Dimensionalist (my other idea was a Divine Agent of Froth with a vampire cohort...heh). I don't really have a background so far, I was thinking he'd be pretty young-around 18-20 and be some sort of magical prodigy. Where do wizards train to become dimensionalits in your campaign, Jester? I recall a half-dragon kobold dimensionalist the PCs fought sometime (though he really didn't get to use much of his abilities I think, by the way I read the story).

Glad you like my character Jester. Now all he needs is equipment. He is only capable of carrying 3 items from beyond the grave but considering his other abilities I think that's more than fair.

You said you were assigning equipment so I'll leave it to you to decide what he has and I'll work it into his background somehow. But could you please make one of his items his divine focus? He's not going to be much of a cleric if he doesn't have one.

Oh, and I added a specific item to his character sheet. Since he is capable of creating it entirely with his magic it probably doesn't count as an item per se but I wanted to have it written down anyway. It will probably act as my primary weapon against undead and constructs and other creatures I can't drain or possess.

I already posted my character in the Rogue's Gallery :)

In case anybody wonder why this guy put his PC's familiar stats online, I will just give one clue. ;)

SRD said:
Share Spells: At the master’s option, he may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) he casts on himself also affect his familiar. The familiar must be within 5 feet at the time of casting to receive the benefit.
If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the familiar if it moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the familiar again even if it returns to the master before the duration expires. Additionally, the master may cast a spell with a target of “You” on his familiar (as a touch range spell) instead of on himself.
A master and his familiar can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the familiar’s type (magical beast).

In case you are wondering how a familiar that cannot fly and soooo... tiny can get this feat (Snatch), look at my PC's spells' selection

Character posted

Ok, I have posted Degra in the RG thread- the rest of the info will be updated when the equipment has been assigned. One question though, how are we assigning HP?

Hey Jester what level adjustment would you put the paragon template (from the ELH) at? I know I already posted a character but I'm always looking to make more interesting and unusual characters and a low level (1 or 2) Paragon fighter might be even more interesting than a ghost cleric. Not to mention I've always wanted to see how a such a character would do in a party of regular adventurers.

Jester, did you see my post from earlier?

A la +3 for feral isn't worth it, the half-dragon template far outclasses it if it was a +3, as a +1 it is good but not overkill, as you don't get the special attacks gained due to the number of monstrous hit dice.

If you'd want to tone it down a bit to have it better match what you'd think a +1 la would be worth i'd be fine with that, but personally I don't think it'd be worth more than a level or so as it is due to the heavy attribute penalties.

Jester, I think I'm going to go with Carella (CN) good of Humor, eccentricity, rebirth for my patron deity.

What is Carella's favored Weapon? I get Focus and Specialization as class bonus feats.

Thanks

OK- let's see if I can get all this into one post... :)

Cohorts: roll 'em up yourself, again I'll assign equipment.

Paragons: I'm afraid that I'm not willing to even try to rate the LA of the paragon template; it's certainly high, though. I don't think I'll be allowing that one, sorry. :heh:

The feral template: the main thing that is problematic about it is the fast healing 5. If you want something similar thematically you could just throw in a barb level or three; alternatively, I'll look at the feral template again and see what it would take to make it a +1 or +2 LA.

Carella's favored weapon is the rosebush. No, really. In fact, the fact that you've dredged this up out of long-buried stories makes me nostalgic for the days of 2e for the first time in a very long time! :D Anyway, yes, it's a potentially deadly weapon. Don't worry, you'll see.

Hit Points: max at 1st level, roll the rest.

Dimensionalist training: mostly comes from a closed society of wizards and sorcerers called the Delphinate. It's one of those places that's hard to get to, expensive to stay in, and full of magic. Occasionally a dimensionalist trained there leaves and passes what he's learned on to others. Alternative ways you could have trained as a dimensionalist include learning from the fae folk (fey are notorious for bending time, space and consciousness).

Did I miss anything?? If so please let me know, I'm an eager beaver here... :p
