You enter the room with the wasp murals. Vencarlo is last to enter and, just before he can do so, there is a distant bell ring and the dungeon shifts again. Vencarlo ducks back into the corridor of disturbing murals just before he gets sliced by the door, but the wasp room doesn't feel like it moves. There is a slight clunk, and the corridor of disturbing murals re-appears, without Vencarlo, although it looks like the thing has reversed yet again.

Meanwhile, the wasp room suddenly comes alive with movement as tiny needles dart out of the floor, walls and ceiling through almost invisible holes in the wasp mosaic. The needles ripples across the room in waves that almost seem beautiful, where it not for the potential to be spiked by thousands of tiny barbs. They are relatively easy to avoid, however, and to begin with no-one gets spiked...

[sblock=OOC]
These things have an attack roll and this round the trap missed everyone in the room. Beyond the left door is a short corridor leading to another door.

OOC: And this short corridor looks ideal for crushing trap, drowning trap or any other nasty (including splitting the group) - should we risk it or run south?

Ducking as low as she could while still able to move, Mhairi yells "Go forward you armoured nutter! These darts are probably poisoned, and we don't all have an inch of steel instead of skin!"

ooc: push on!! Also, am not getting update notifications. Sorry for my general tardiness.

Edmond runs through setting himself in defensive posture just on the right of the second door, leaving enough space for others to run through while having an opportunity do defend them if something nasty comes running.

OOC: That is: Edmond runs through short hallway, opens the door, steps inside, moves to the right next to the door and readies an attack to attack anyone threatening others coming through

Ignatius brings up the rear, being the only one with both a metal skin and a shield to aid in warding off a second wave of darts.

The group hustles throught the hall of wasps, avoiding the needles that jab in and out of the walls with a rustling sound. After Mhairi declares the next door free from traps, it opens into an octagonal chamber. In the centre stands an obelisk of black stone atop a low dais marked with Vudran script. The stone, and indeed the whole chamber, gives off a soothing hum.

"Well, that's a little different," Mhairi remarked. "The thing screams menace in appearance, but I can't bring myself to think it. Can anyone read what it says, before I risk my life touching it?"
