My main complaint about #300 is that it will be devoted to one subject. I would have preferred some celebration of the milestone, rather than pimping the next WotC book - but as has been stated, these things are laid out a month or two in advance, so there might not have been time to get the train onto another track. Dragon #100 is a model for what I would have preferred - special cover, special content, special authors, something other than a "sealed section" that might or might not include cheese/beefcake or gory pictures.
Oh, well. We'll see what happens. And no matter what, I'm glad the DRAGON has made it through all these years (and three corporate ownerships).
