Ok, I'm definately jealous! Looks good, real good!

Your also coming along on your females too! How about combining both, a female AND a dragon? I think with your talent, that would be a pretty sweet pic...... Definately would be something I wish I could do!;)

Thanks for the nice words :) , well in time I will combine the both but this is only my third try on dragons so far so I gotta get them right before I even dare to start combining them togather. :)

But one day they will came, and oh did I say thanks for the kind words ;)

Well, if you seen my attempts on my thread, you'll notice your way ahead of me on dragons, lol........Its my ultimate goal as well, but I have a much longer way to go...... I've been fooling around with scales on PSP, hoping that maybe that my coloring my dragon would cover up the fact that I couldn't draw him very good to start.......lol.......:p

You definately have a talent, I like seeing your advancements on your pics.... Keep them coming!;)

Tried to do scales at first in Pshop but they just looked odd so I instead tried to find scales that fitted my dragon good enough from real life.

The scales I finally used is from a Boa Constrictors head (actually drawn from a live model) and they fitted the dragon like a glove so I kept them (if you cannot find a live model just get some books on snakes and draw from there)

Here is an early "unscaled" version of the dragon BTW

Thanks, I have some books on snakes and lizards. I believe someone already mentioned about the lizards too, as a source for dragons. So I'll check them both out and see what I can come up with.

I think my problem was, I tried to hard to jump and do a dragon, looking off of dinosaurs and the like, without starting small. Kinda like trying to walk before crawling, errrr, in my case, sprinting, lol......

Dinosaurs are to start in the wrong end though, have a look at my Dragon Anatomy thread in this forum for some suggestions on how to draw dragons (at least that is my solution on how to draw them)
