Dragon Mountain - Twin Forks

[Are you being serious or did I miss the joke?]

Telustiel stops dead in his tracks and looks sideways at the wolf riding pixie, then nods and continues his way to the tavern.

Quite serious, in fact they really stand out in this setting. Everything else looks quite normal

That´s right. Telustiel doesn´t have fond memories of Pixies, so he pretends not to have seen it and continues to the tavern.

Twin Forks - The Wanton Mermaid

You walk into the Wanton Mermaid and you see a very modest Tavern and Inn. The Inn Keeper is also the bar keep. The furniture is plain and the the crowd is made up of working folks. The food is modest and the ale is fair. At some point early in the conversation someone mentions the name of Lothar and the bar keep, Michael is his name, seem fairly loose lipped on the subject.

"Lothar: Lothar moved into Twin Forks about five years ago. Said he was tired of traveling, that he was looking for a nice quiet place to live. Most of the local folk were a bit nervous havin’ an adventurer type like Lothar in our little village. But he’s not been much problem.

He is a bit of a nervous type, if you know what I mean. He doesn’t like strangers, especially strangers who come asking questions about him. No, don’t worry. He won’t hear it from me." You can tell there is no love-loss between Michael and Lothar. "You look like honest folk, not like those fisher-folk from Colvin that sometimes come to visit. You can find Lothar in the last house on the east road."

He fills your mugs and begins to go back to the bar.

The nice, quiet life, eh? Has he truly retired, or is it more like he wanted an out-of-the-way place without powerful rivals or law enforcement?

(BTW, I order Yigu to hang out outside of town ad hide. Hmmm, for situations like this, how much money would it cost to have some sort of unobtrusive collar with my personal sigil on it that warns hunters (verbally or through some basic illusion) who are about to attack him that he is under the protection of a mighty druid who is somewhat prone to veangence?)

While getting another beer Argent Hears about Lothar's home. Why don't one of you stealthy types go check it out. He turns to the bartender, So what's the deal with these Fishermen?

Vanger Thwakiron

Vanger downs his drink in one long pull, then belches quietly. "Mayhap we should leave off till morning, some of us be needin the rest and if this fella is the squirrly type there's no sense upsettin him by banging on his door at supper time."

You could probably have a masterwork collar made for less than 200 GP although I am not sure someone would get close enough to read it if they were hunting; on the other hand I think few would be bold enough to hunt a dire bear ;)

"Oh yes, the fisherfolk. Colvin is a fishing village a few days down river. Although fishing is only one sort of income stream for those smugglers and pirates! We don't like their kind 'round here."

ooc: Anything for Argon? If not, send him to the Tavern.

This town seems to be very typical for one its size. In your travels you see a whole range of shops from tattoo parlor to tavern, blacksmith to brewer; you see nothing noticable out of the ordinary, except that he Tattoo parlor is not open and it is not quite yet the end of the typical business day.
