D&D 5E Dragonborn v same Dragon type breath weapon

Just checking I interpreted the rules correctly - let me know if I was wrong!

A Dragonborn has resistance to the breath effects of it's colour type dragon, so it halves damage.

So, green Dragonborn attacked by green dragon breath still has to make a save - if the save fails, the Dragonborn takes half damage; if the save is successful, it takes quarter damage.

Is that right?

That is correct.

If the Dragonborn also had Evasion it would take no damage on a save and quarter damage if you fail.
