Dragonkin+Monkey Grip=best DPS?

well, i was wondering if people think having a dragonkin with a beefy 28 STR, mankey grip, and a GARGANTUAN GREATSWORD is the best kind of DPS machine possible. if it isnt, i want to know what would be. his other feats are: Large and in Charge, Combat Reflexes, and, of corse, Power Attack. and to head off the ridicule, no i do NOT play WOW. i just game with people who do.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how exactly is the dragonkin wielding a "GARGANTUAN GREATSWORD"?

Dragonkin are large monstrous humanoids, so the monkeygrip feat would allow him to use a huge greatsword.

isn't monkey grip a 3.0 feat? That might cause the confusion...
since in 3.0 a normal greatsword was.. Large.. (i.e. 1 size category larger than the wielder) Should solve the mystery

What exactly is DPS?

If it's damage per second, then your character is inferior to builds like the Hulking Hurler, Spank the Monkey, and the Ubercharger by orders of magnitude. Literally. Monkey grip is a very poor feat, mechanically speaking.

oops. guess i jumped up one size category too many. i roll 4d6 for damage, if i use full attack while in the air and all my attacks hit, i roll a whopping 10d6 (8d6 from the sword, 2d6 from my lower claws. claws get half str. sword gets double.) combine that with a mighty 28 str, and that a lot of damage, even to dragons!

Right, which they won't, because Monkey Grip sucks.

Go to the WotC web forums and look up the Character Optimization board. You'll see things that will make you very happy.

Sounds like your game is bristling with munchkins. Anyways how do you get double str on a two hander? Is that waht Large and in Charge does?

Usually its 1.5 x Str mod

I know a guy who has a Dragonkin with the Powerful Build and Monkey Grip feats, who dual-wields greatswords. Both of those would probably let you use a Gargantuan greatsword instead of a huge one.

Monkey grip and powerful build don't stack.
